WORTHY THOUGHT: Don’t get discouraged.
Some time ago I was going through some tough times. I went to visit a Church on a beautiful Sunday morning and the Pastor said something pro found to me. He said, ” The God of Abraham, Jacob and Issac is also the God of me.”
I read or listened to the scriptures before about the great men and women in the Bible, but my thought always referred to them as the elite, the anointed, or His chosen people that only God worked directly with.
I realized we cannot disqualify ourselves of the same God of Abraham, Jacob and Issac and think he will not be there for you or me.
My attitude changed from discouragement to being encouraged and my Faith was being raised up.
I accept and know Jesus as my Lord and savior the true Son of God. I am the child of a God I can boldly go to as my Father because just as any child knows they belong and can go to their parent, I know I belong to the Father.
Be encouraged. Father delights in all His children. We are never alone. He will never leave us or forsake us.
For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.-Psalm 149:4
“No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” -Joshua 1:5
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

Be willing to be made low before the Lord and He will exalt you!~ James 4:10 The Passion Translation
Lord, help me wait on You to exalt me. I don’t want to rush too far ahead or lag too far behind. Help me to release all pride and striving and wanting to accomplish great things in my own strength. Help me live in the center of Your Perfect will and be in the rhythm and flow of Your Holy Spirit and grace. May I not try to force what I think is best. May I not despise the days of small beginnings. Help me to wait patiently on You and Your perfect timing. Help me obediently follow Your word and Your direction always.

WORTHY THOUGHT: How are we to be strong? God will never ask me to do what He does not enable me to do.
Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers against rulers of darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Life today is not a playground- it is a spiritual battlefield!
The danger on the battlefield is that we do not take the enemy seriously, we get so sidetracked with our busy lives and therefore fail to put on the whole armor of God.
Never under estimate the strategy and strength of the devil.
Jesus Christ in us we have spiritual authority and the gospel armor to withstand the enemy.
Stand firm and be strong with The Lord put on the full armor of God everyday and be of good courage.~ Angela Lipe-Pattengill
I love today’s verse as it speaks to me as His “redeemed” one.
Redeemed- To restore the honor, worth, or reputation of.
The Lord has restored me and continues to restore all the broken parts of me daily and I am so happy to be called His redeemed.
I want to shout for joy and be known for shining with the sheer goodness of the Eternal.
As the verse continues on it says that their lives will be like a lush, well-watered garden and they will never know sorrow.
What a great promise for us all.

The redeemed will return home and shout for joy from the top of Mount Zion;
they will shine with the sheer goodness of the Eternal—
The harvests of grain, wine, and oil; the healthy flocks and herds.
Their lives will be like a lush, well-watered garden.
From that day on, they will never know sorrow.~ Jeremiah 31:12 The VOICE
Some days my light feels kind of dim. I can have days when I struggle not to murmur and complain and grumble and find faults and of course not to mention not to offend or to be offended.
I don’t always wake up feeling all warm and fuzzy. We all can have bad days.
I read this promise recently and I was
determined to be a better beacon of Christ’s Light for others. I am also glad I have the Holy Spirit’s help to keep my Light shining bright and to be fresh air to others in a polluted society.
We must hold firmly and stay filled up with Words of Life so we can give those Words of Life to others.
Today’s #WordOfGodWednesday is:
“Do everything readily and cheerfully—no bickering, no second-guessing allowed! Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the “light-giving” Message into the night so I’ll have good cause to be proud of you on the day that Christ returns. You’ll be living proof that I didn’t go to all this work for nothing.~ Philippians 2:14-16 The Message
“Do your duty without murmuring’s. Do it, and do not find fault with it. Mind your work, and do not quarrel with it. By peaceableness; give no just occasion of offense. The children of God should differ from the sons of men. The more perverse others are, the more careful we should be to keep ourselves blameless and harmless. The doctrine and example of consistent believers will enlighten others, and direct their way to Christ and holiness, even as the lighthouse warns Mariners to avoid rocks, and directs their course into the harbor. Let us try thus to shine. The gospel is the word of life, it makes known to us eternal life through Jesus Christ.”
– Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary
As Matthew Henry said- let us try thus to shine!
Heavenly Father, help us Shine Bright with Your Love to point people to You.
How can you Shine Bright and thus be a beacon of Light or that fresh air for others? ~XXOO Michelle Bollom
