Something God has been teaching me about recently is truth. It was the topic last week of the Bible study I lead. God showed me so much about telling…Truth
IMHO – In my humble opinion …Opinions are not truths.
Your opinion is your opinion, your perception is your perception–do not confuse them with “facts” or “truth”. —Unknown
Patterning your life around other’s opinions is nothing more than slavery. —Lawana Blackwell
Wars have been fought and millions have been killed because of the inability of men to understand the idea that EVERYBODY has a different viewpoint. —John Moore
The greatest deception which men incur proceeds from their opinions. —Leonardo Da Vinci
The world is changed by your example-not by your opinions. —Paulo Coelho
We must always think about things, and we must think about things as they are, not as they are said to be. —George Bernard Shaw
Opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one. —Charles “PoPo” Cosby (aka My Daddy)
In preparation this week for a bit of R&R and travel – today’s Worthy Thought is a great Worthy Quote.

Who doesn’t love friendships where you don’t have to weigh words and can always speak truthfully and honestly. I know I do!
Today I pray that everyone can experience true friendships.

Yesterday I got up early and traveled to downtown Houston to attend the Trump Rally with some friends. I am a Trump supporter and I know I have friends and family that aren’t – which is just fine.
I can still love you and accept you without agreeing or approving with you. That’s what mature people do.
I have to say-I didn’t know what to expect but thought there might be some foolery and mobs ..but guess what? – There was none!
This is what I witnessed first hand…
I saw thousands upon thousands of people standing in line that love America. They were from all over the state and other states too.
There were Asians, and Hispanics, Indians, Koreans, Nigerians, African Americans, Caucasians and many women of all races and ages (even a 95 year old granny that her family pulled her in a wagon so she could be there)and there were many people of various religious beliefs also that all support our President Donald J. Trump and are happy to see America thriving.
We stood in lines for hours.
We shared our food and our seats. We laughed and sang and hugged and took pics and we didn’t bash or hate or scream at anyone.
We gave a few chides to the little boy in a Beto shirt but hopefully he was open to being educated as his friend was that was an illegal waiting to become a citizen but we kept it respectful and kind. Everyone did!
Even the girl with the nasty pink hat trying to entice the crowds as she walked by got nothing.
We all ignored her.
That was 2 upon thousands of people I witnessed for over 12 hours.
Once inside the Toyota Center I sat next to a African American women and her daughter that was in her late 20’s. They had seen Hillary’s America and Follow Diamond and Silk and said they couldn’t believe that more people don’t educate themselves on the corruption of the Democratic Party. It’s not the same as it used to be.
I saw so many people that were citizens from other countries that came over here legally and followed the process that were very vocal that they want stricter immigration laws and the wall built. They didn’t agree with the caravan attempt to come in by force orchestrated by the democrats.
They also agreed that the other countries should pay their fair shares.
Only one person was ejected during the Presidents speech – but the media likely planted him because as I sat there watching the media get in place to film a section instead of the president I knew something was up and sure enough 1 man started to make a scene and secret service quickly scooped him up. Because Texas Doesn’t Play!
I am not here to convince you in any way to change your views. I am not open to debate it- I am simply here to report what I saw first hand that the fake news media outlets will never report.
Trump supporters are all ages and races. Loving, kind, and giving people.
Wanting to protect our country is not because we are heartless and cruel-there is a process and it needs to be followed. You can’t give out to every country and not expect to have them give back. Don’t count on the spin doctors or talking heads to give you the news. Educate yourself.
We are not the ones holding onto rage and bitterness of a lost election as the other party is and hiring Mobs to protest and vandalize and spread violence because we are busy appreciating all the new Jobs!
Our economy is improving.
You shouldn’t want hand outs – you should take the hands up you are given and give back.
If you are so filled with hate and rage against the President or Republican Party or anyone that differs or has a different opinion than you – it’s heart check time folks. I pray you can release that mess. It will kill you!
I saw none of the violence and hate yesterday and I am very proud to say I support Our President and am proud to be an American.
Freedom in Christ is Free folks (I can help you with that freedom) but Freedoms in and for our Country comes at a very high price!
I support and appreciate our Presidents efforts to ensure and protect those Freedoms without taking a salary for doing it.
I want to Keep America Great too!
So, get out and vote and vote educated and not as someone holding onto bitterness and resentments.
And if you want to get all Cray Cray in the comments here – well – just remember …Texas Doesn’t Play!
I will block anyone acting up.

This Weeks #SongSunday is off the new Lauren Daigle album again. “You Say” is a great song to remind us what God says about us.
So stop letting the enemy put lies in your head and tell him it’s time to get outta my head!
What would it be like if we had so much money that we didn’t have to work?
What if we were so healthy that we never had to see a doctor again?
What if we had so many friends that we were never lonely?
What if we had so much energy that we never needed to sleep?
What if we had so much time, that we could accomplish all of our dreams?
What if we had so much wisdom that we never had to ask advice again?
What if we had so much understanding that we didn’t need for God to reveal himself to us?
What if we had so much knowledge that we understood perfectly how everything worked?
What if we never had to fear or worry about anything ever again?
Incredibly, that is the inheritance of every believer.
We have a home in Heaven with Our Father, Our Lord, and our loved ones. Not only is this home permanent, infinite, and eternal, it is also perfect. There will be no more lack, no more sorrow, no more fear, no more danger, and no more sin. It is almost impossible to believe, since we are so accustomed to a life of multiple limitations and struggling faith.
While we are here, we are always learning and growing and being prepared for our “life without limits”. It is by abiding in consistent faith that we develop the characteristics of Christlikeness that are so invaluable to Our Father and necessary for our well being, both here and now and for all eternity.
While here, there is still abundance to be found, however.
We can be rich in faith, rich in hope, and rich in love.
We can be filled with the Spirit. We can walk hand in hand with Our Father and with Our Lord. We can pray powerful prayers. We can think noble and pure thoughts. We can wait breathlessly and expectantly for the return of Our Savior. We can experience precious unity with other believers as we work together, hastening the Day of the Lord. We can be guides to eternal life for everyone we meet. We can work diligently. We can rest peacefully. We can abide in Christ and walk in the truth and bring great joy to Our Father’s heart and great encouragement to our fellow believers. We can know that we are laying up treasures that will last for all eternity!

I find myself walking this morning on the board walk in Mission Beach, San Diego. It’s beautiful walking next to the rolling waves of the ocean. Even the sounds of the waves put you in a peaceful state of mind. People are taking the time to stop and listen. I can’t help but notice on my walk this morning all the homeless, helpless and hurting people who have found their way to the board walk.
Some have found solace in elements of nature.
I see several people sitting on benches with eyes closed facing the ocean mediating and stopping for a moment to collect the start of their day. There are various yoga groups on the grassy patches of the cliff overlooking the ocean. They too are looking for a way to release all their worries and stretch out their cares they have picked up along the way.
There are many homeless people waking up, gathering their treasures and moving along the walkway. Many surfers are out early to catch the best waves and ride them into the shores. The tourists like me can be found bundled up with their jackets and holding on to their warm cups of hot coffee.
What draws people to the ocean?
That’s my thought this morning?
I’m asking God these questions this morning as I stroll past all the sights and sounds of a busy board walk.
That’s when my answer comes through my last song on my playlist that I’m listening to in my earbuds.
Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin
That’s it!! Us
We don’t really know that we have a good good God who loves us like a good good Father.
It’s quite possible we believe that because of all the bad examples of religions that don’t show or extend the Good News of God’s love to us.
Bad news was delivered to us with many lies and no hope for our future. We choose to believe the lies and not the truth.
Turn or Burn
God is an angry God who is absent during times of need.
Judgement is coming
Tragedies happen in life and we don’t have answers to our hard questions.
Maybe we committed sins we don’t feel are redeemable. We place ourselves in a category of unworthiness that is not deserving of receiving God’s love? There are many reasons we believe that God is not good, doesn’t exist or has no interest in us.
But as I’m walking, I’m thinking,,,
What if somehow each of us were given a glimpse into the value that God places on each and everyone of us?
We were able for just a brief moment to fully understood that we are loved by a God who created us with the sole desire to live life along side of us.
What if we were not just told about this Good News by someone but we actually experienced it ourselves?
It became so real that no one could take that encounter away from us.
Why are we drawn to the ocean?
God draws us in with his majestic nature and divine creation. We long to be somewhere supernatural don’t we? Mythology becomes important to sailors. It explains the seas, history and future happenings that navigate a sailor’s course at sea.
Are we not born asking all the questions of why are we here and what is our purpose?
When we surround ourselves with oceans, mountains and beautiful scenes of His creation,
It calls out to us.
We think it is nature calling us to the ocean, but it is really God, our good good Father.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” Psalm 19:1
