Flight Of Understanding

If you are facing a hard situation, bad news, disappointing results or tiresome efforts.

                     You have two choices.
1)Stay standing very still where you are and get more and more frustrated.

OR

2)Take a flight and rise above the situation, look down and gain a new perspective.

Flight is the act or process of moving through the air. One travels in an upward motion, going forward to a new location.

It takes action to decide to flap your wings and take a flight up, up and away.

Once you soar up above your surroundings, then your location immediately changes. It keeps changing as you travel forward. There is no more stationary stance. You also gain keen eyesight and insight as to what is happening below. It provides a new perspective. You see what is coming up from behind you, and what is headed your way.

You are moving forward above your current situation.

How does one take action and move into a “flight” mode without jumping on an airplane or helicopter?

Check out the familiar scripture on “flight” in Isaiah 40:29-31

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

‭‭

Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. Notice it didn’t say those who trust in the doctors, people, friends, news report, themselves or circumstances.

Only the Lord is mentioned.
                      Plain and simple

When we decide to trust in the Lord and really believe that He is who He says He is. He will do what He says He will do. We begin our flight of understanding and agree with God that our hope is in Him.

We take the stance that it is in Him only.
Our problems may not go away immediately or might even get worse.

The scripture above says He gives strength to the weary. God becomes our strength. Luckily, He doesn’t get tired.

When we choose to position ourselves above our “bad situation” and begin to trust God He gives us a new understanding. We learn to process everything through His promises in His Word. We start to lean solely on God. We base this on believing that God’s character is trustworthy and reliable to bring us hope for our future.

In our flight upward we rest in Him and receive this new perspective and understanding.

We come to a place where we soar and no more flapping of wings is necessary.

Our flight takes us to a place where we can find hope and peace as we weather the storms of life.

Flight on,

Arise Sleeping One

You have been tucked away secure in your safe little nest for far too long.

It is time to get back up and learn to fly!

Arise Sleeping One!

We all have seasons needing that protective and secure nest to shelter us from the harsh elements of life.

We sometimes may need others to feed us for awhile as we are removed from the wide open spaces so we can heal and be strengthened and built up again so our wings will be stronger when it’s time to take that leap!

Don’t let your courage wane.  Don’t let fear keep you curled up in your warm and safe surroundings. You can’t grow or even begin to realize what heights you will be able to soar to unless you are willing to take the next step to leave the nest.

Arise!

Get ready to fly!
