L.A.N.D Exercises

God’s strategic plan for his children as we walk this earth is for us to love one another. We do this by engaging in L.A.N.D. Exercises.

Our L.A.N.D. Exercises – Loving, Accepting, Nurturing, and Discipling – the life of Christ flowing through us to others.

First, we love – we value highly each and every soul; we are patient and kind to all. Secondly, we accept each person at whatever stage of life they may be in; we love unconditionally. Thirdly, we nurture the life of God in each heart; we try to find out what each one needs in order to flourish. Finally, we disciple others; we find ways of bringing them along in the kingdom.

Loving. We do unto others as we would have them do unto us. We are patient and kind with everyone. We do not envy; we do not boast; we are not proud, rude or self seeking; we are not easily angered; we keep no record of wrongs; we do not delight in evil, but we rejoice in the truth; we bear all things, trust in all things, and hope in all things.

Accepting. The first step in any relationship is acceptance of the other person right where they are in their walk of faith. We are all in different stages of our journey, and we should not demand that others meet an arbitrary standard of perfection before they are worthy of our love and acceptance. Christ did this for us when he invited us into the kingdom. He met us right where we were, came into our lives, and initiated the great eternal love affair that we now have with him. If he had waited for us to meet his standards of holiness before being worthy of a relationship with him, we would still be stuck in our sins.

Nurturing. As a mother or father deals with their children, we must also deal with others: we must often overlook faults and focus on nurturing each area of growth and grace that may be manifesting in the life of the ones we love. This requires prayerfulness, watchfulness, gentleness, and patience. People grow and change in their own time, in God’s good time, not on our time table or because we want or need them to grow or change.

Discipling. We look for opportunities to bring people along in the faith, to immerse people in the knowledge of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and to teach others to be obedient to the commands of Christ.

We practice and teach others to keep the faith, to walk in love, and to hope in our heavenly reward.

Shifting Point – My Moment Of Truth

Recently when moving a dog food bag of about 50 pounds I was struck by how heavy it was, and that for me I was carrying around about this much of extra weight each and every day on my body.

I know it is not healthy and have tried countless ways to jumpstart this process but I am usually quite discouraged by how slow the scale moves and allow the busyness of life to take over and then the days blend together and I seem to blink and another year has flown by.

The same 40/50 pounds still here.

I decided that I could no longer just go about it like it was a minor thing and needed to get intentional about doing something.

My twins just turned 18 and graduated – so the baby weight is no longer a valid excuse.
          I reached my shifting point!

I researched about Intermittent Fasting and found a program I liked.
I did my before pics and took all my measurements and jumped on the scale …determined!
WOW – I started thinking back and counted the years since I held a consistent workout routine and ate really clean.
Shocking it had been over 3 years!

I have done fasts like the one I blogged about almost 2 years ago and lost 25 pounds and have done other challenges and have exercised a bit here and there but the paper staring back at me and the pictures were shocking that I could no longer ignore or deny or put it on the back burner for any longer.

I didn’t get discouraged. I took it all like a big girl and pulled up my big girl panties and said….

I may have a lot medically working against me, but I too can be the biggest hinderance to me…

But greater is He that is in me!

With You Lord- I can do this!

I went to bed with great anticipation and then I was suddenly awakened at 4:44 am.

Somehow I knew it had a deeper meaning so I wrote it down.
When I had time, I looked up the number 4.

4= Dalet / Hebrew

A tent door

Entrance to Promise Land

Material creation

Number of the Kingdom

Enter into your physical deliverance

BOOM! I like that Lord! I am READY!

Weeks ago when the Lord first spoke Shifting Point to me I wrote down these tidbits…

Combat always comes before victory.

Believing is the condition for receiving.

God’s truth does not change with my moods.

So here’s to my Shifting Point
I will keep you posted on how it goes.

For grins I checked out the definitions……

a particular instant of time
a critical position in a course of affairs

a decisive state of circumstances

the important or essential thing

Synonyms: juncture, moment of truth

What is your moment of truth?
Where do you need a Shifting Point?

Sharing Your Faith

I was in Los Angeles last week looking at colleges with my daughter and some friends. California has an amazing climate surrounded by beautiful beaches and little mountains. It is always fun to meet new people in new places that you visit.
On our last day I finally got some alone time with God by the pool. It’s a bonus when you get to have a meeting with God by the pool and it’s 70 degrees in June. No sweat, all glory!!

I sat down and did my regular soak. BTW, this in no way involved getting wet. It involves just being still with open ears. You can start by listening to some worship music, mediating on a scripture verse and writing down any inspirational thoughts that home to mind.
I was asking God the best way that I can make a difference in someone’s life especially the ones you just meet and you only have such a short time to make any kind of impact.
I asked and He answered. I wrote down my thoughts as they streamed through my mind as fast as I could.
Here is a sneak peak into what He said to me written in first person as a personal letter to me.
Now, I don’t typically share all my soak notes with just anyone. They can get kind of personal.

By sharing, I hope it helps you to know that you too can hear from God and He delights in chit chatting with you.

My question:
How do I affect people that are lost and don’t know you, God?
The more time you spend with me the more we become one Spirit. I will spill over to others through you. It’s not an attempt for you. It’s not even an action you make. It’s a dwelling that just is.

I am that I am and you are because I am.

You become what you are. You’re time spent with me fills you with love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, patience and self-control.
Peace becomes your step.

Joy becomes your song.

Love becomes your stance.
My delight is in you and your delight in me becomes you.
It’s not a performance for you.

It’s a passion in you.
This spills over into a desire to delight in others and they SEE Me not you.
This is how you affect others.

It’s the simple acts of kindness that turns the hearts of man to me.

It could be your one act of kindness that helps turn the page to a new chapter for someone to discover their own Author and Creator.

Here we are at a Starbucks in Hollywood Blvd and Highland Park with two new friends who were an honor to pray with and discuss about how amazing our God is to us all. The paradoxical thing about that night: You think you are affecting them in a positive way, but it turns out they end up blessing you in more ways than one. God meets us right where we are even if it’s smack dab in the middle of great disobedience, rebellion or disbelief. We as believers have the ability to meet others where they are and remind them they are created for so much more than they could ever imagine.

Hebrews 13:2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;

We might dream of the abundant life.

What would it be like if we had so much money that we didn’t have to work?

What if we were so healthy that we never had to see a doctor again?

What if we had so many friends that we were never lonely?

What if we had so much energy that we never needed to sleep?

What if we had so much time, that we could accomplish all of our dreams?

What if we had so much wisdom that we never had to ask advice again?

What if we had so much understanding that we didn’t need for God to reveal himself to us?

What if we had so much knowledge that we understood perfectly how everything worked?

What if we never had to fear or worry about anything ever again?

Incredibly, that is the inheritance of every believer

We have a home in Heaven with Our Father, Our Lord, and our loved ones. Not only is this home permanent, infinite, and eternal, it is also perfect. There will be no more lack, no more sorrow, no more fear, no more danger, and no more sin. It is almost impossible to believe, since we are so accustomed to a life of multiple limitations and struggling faith.

While we are here, we are always learning and growing and being prepared for our “life without limits”. It is by abiding in consistent faith that we develop the characteristics of Christlikeness that are so invaluable to Our Father and necessary for our well being, both here and now and for all eternity.
While here, there is still abundance to be found, however.

We can be rich in faith, rich in hope, and rich in love

We can be filled with the Spirit. We can walk hand in hand with Our Father and with Our Lord. We can pray powerful prayers. We can think noble and pure thoughts. We can wait breathlessly and expectantly for the return of Our Savior. We can experience precious unity with other believers as we work together, hastening the Day of the Lord. We can be guides to eternal life for everyone we meet. We can work diligently. We can rest peacefully. We can abide in Christ and walk in the truth and bring great joy to Our Father’s heart and great encouragement to our fellow believers. We can know that we are laying up treasures that will last for all eternity!

The Broken Way

I have been trying to read “The Broken Way” by Ann Voskamp for weeks. It is so deep and rich that I have to keep stopping and pondering and reflecting.

I felt the Lord telling me to READ- so I was obedient and finally picked it up again and am barely on chapter 3 tonight when God spoke to my heart so deeply showing me that in understanding the Broken Ways – in many areas of my life, one in particular with a relationship that ended last year that was painful, that I now know both our paths to abundance and abundant life were meant to be without each other.

I was actually able to thank them and God for the years of memories. I felt every ounce of residual hurt just melt away in an instant and no longer felt any sadness or unforgiveness at all.

I can truly see the beauty in the breaking now and know God had a much bigger purpose for the pain.

Talk about a full healing moment!

As Ann states in the book-
“Wounds are what break open the soul to plant the seeds of a deeper growth. Maybe the deepest wounds birth deepest wisdom.

Brokenness can make abundance.”

I can’t wait to see what else this book will open up.

If you loved 1000 Gifts – You will love The Broken Way.

Crown of Life Dance

“Blessed is the man or (woman in my case) who remains steadfast under trial, for when she has stood the test she will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him” James 1:12

“Double Dog Dare Ya” Challenge:

Each day take some time to “posture” or position yourself to hear from God. You will be amazed at what God deposits in your spirit when you are intentional and expecting to hear from Him.

I read this scripture and paused to soak in what it would mean to have a crown of life. I immediately visualized myself with a golden crown on my head. It had a red heart- shaped gem in the center.

It was as if the crown had a sound that was declaring, “Love never fails” every time I turned and twirled. My dance welcomed a new partner. Jesus appeared asking for my hand to dance. Immediately, I gave him my crown 👑. I knew the scripture verse that said at the end we return our crowns. I wanted to show respect. But just as soon as I gave it away to him, it appeared on my head again. Now we were both wearing the crowns. Jesus then proceeded to put a big purple overcoat on me that hung off of my shoulders. It drooped to the floor making me look like a small child wearing their dad’s oversized coat.

I started to dance dragging around the coat and crown on my head. I just needed a wand as I twirled and I would have fit in a fairy tale that ended happily ever after. Immediately in my spirit or rather in my thoughts I heard Jesus say to me.

I wrote it down.
I crown you with my crown

I dress you with my garment of praise.

I charge you with my dance.

Freedom Dance

All I did was take 5 minutes to be still and know that He is God.

I read a scripture.

I opened up my imagination

I asked.

I received.

I received or rather danced away wearing my crown of life, knowing who I am as daughter of the King.

I can move mountains with those garments, crown and revelation.

Dance On,

WORTHY THOUGHT: Don’t get discouraged.

Some time ago I was going through some tough times. I went to visit a Church on a beautiful Sunday morning and the Pastor said something pro found to me. He said, ” The God of Abraham, Jacob and Issac is also the God of me.”

I read or listened to the scriptures before about the great men and women in the Bible, but my thought always referred to them as the elite, the anointed, or His chosen people that only God worked directly with.

I realized we cannot disqualify ourselves of the same God of Abraham, Jacob and Issac and think he will not be there for you or me.

My attitude changed from discouragement to being encouraged and my Faith was being raised up.

I accept and know Jesus as my Lord and savior the true Son of God. I am the child of a God I can boldly go to as my Father because just as any child knows they belong and can go to their parent, I know I belong to the Father.

Be encouraged. Father delights in all His children. We are never alone. He will never leave us or forsake us.

For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.-Psalm 149:4

No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” -Joshua 1:5

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

Amazing Revelation Revealed

Name History of Jesus of Nazareth:
He is the Christ, the “Anointed One,” or the “Messiah.” The name “Jesus” comes from the Hebrew-Aramaic word “Yeshua,” meaning “Yahweh [the Lord] is salvation.” “Christ” is actually a title for Jesus. It comes from the Greek word “Christos,” meaning “the Anointed One,” or “Messiah” in Hebrew.

During a morning quiet time this week I was visualizing myself holding onto Jesus with my head on HIs shoulder. I had the thought, “What would it feel like to be held by Jesus?”

What if He physically stood by me and reached out to me? How strong and yet soft at the same time would His shoulder feel with my head buried in it?

Then out of no where came a thought that rushed through my thinker like a bolt of lightening.

God desired intimacy with us. He sent Himself. (You have to really wrap your mind around that one.) He desired a relationship that went deeper than the Old Testament “holy visits and proclamations” through certain appointed prophets and leaders. He desires relationship with ALL of us. His children He created. You and me, each of us equally important and valuable to Him.

Jesus is the bridge of salvation that we can choose to cross and leave our sins behind us. We then position ourselves to be in good standing with a perfect holy God who DESIRES to hug us and hold our weary heads up to rest on His shoulders!

Help me to truly understand all the mysteries that surrounds your Son as You, The Father in the flesh. I can not fully comprehend this without help from the Holy Spirit to reveal all that encompasses your love for me through your Son.

Reveal More To Me,

Kelley Allison

I John 4:2

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

Raindrops From Heaven

Soaking is an intimate part of your relationship with God. It is a way of communicating and working out any confusion and problems that steal your joy and peace.

Soaking is the first step to opening the door for clarity. Clarity then opens the door for freedom to be released. When you accept the gift of Freedom it wipes out all interference that make it difficult to hear the voice of truth. When you yield to his voice and accept the truth your are giving God permission to take authority in your life. Soaking up His presence, as little raindrops of revelation sink into your heart of understanding and flow out of you.

Grab a pen and journal to write down your thoughts and specific scriptures. Now that you know what soaking is all about let’s jump right in!
Be still and know that He is Lord and position yourself with His Word to hear what He has to say to you today. (Psalm 46:10)

During one of my late night soaking sessions last week I felt the Lord put Psalm 139 on my heart. At the time I was a little bit confused because I had no idea how this would fit into the circumstances I was facing. Well as I put my opinions aside and opened my ears to really listen, I heard the Holy Spirit say: the name you will give this internal battle your facing is “Victory’s Call.” If I was confused before I was really lost now. The more and more I yield to his voice the more clarity I began to receive.

Like most of us do at times I was facing a battle within myself. I felt forgotten, rejected, afraid, and lost, erased with no clear sense of direction. I felt as if God had taken his eyes off of me and had no idea I was struggling and couldn’t even hear me screaming for help. Like every battle we face It was more than I could handle.

I didn’t understand why God would name this battle “Victory’s Call ” if it felt like I was fighting for spiritual survival. But then the light hit me, and it hit me hard and fast and things were beginning to make sense. I began to write everything God was saying to me trying to not leave anything out. This is what I got. I wrote it down as fast it came to me in my journal.

“Victory’s Call”
My son died on a cross for your sins and won the battle for any trial, problem, and sin you would face in this life. Jesus conquered it all on the cross for you and His is the VICTORY. When you were adopted into my family you gained access to this victory and now you can overcome it all because he made the way. VICTORY IS YOURS. You call all the shots, draw the lines, and set the limits to any power formed against you. Because of his great love you can overcome any trial/problem in this life. That’s the call Jesus made on the cross!!! He had ENOUGH and drew the line once and for all! You too can draw that line and walk in VICTORY.

-Love God

It all began to make sense. I was fighting a battle that I already won. The solution was always within me! When we enter God’s family through Jesus He gives us full power over every trial, problem, and battle we face! This was the truth that was being drowned by the circumstance I was in. However, God reminded me that his power is made strong and perfect in my weakness. He restored my strength, by reminding me I could stand up to the enemy and yell ENOUGH. He gave me authority to draw the line to this internal battle once and for all. And so I did!!!

But he didn’t stop there he gave me scripture to back up what he revealed to me. He gave Psalm 139! This psalm explains 4 important things we should all know.
1- God knows all about us vs: 1-6

2-we cannot hide from God vs: 7-12

3-God made us vs: 13-18

4- a prayer for every believer vs: 23-24

Psalm 139 is really mind blowing! It gives you true insight on Gods attributes, personal traits, feelings, and overall his omnipresence meaning (He is everywhere at the same time). So when I felt like He couldn’t see that I was struggling, I was wrong! He saw it all and and He was there with me through it all. And in the end He provided the solution.

God is good. He loves us and is more involved in our lives than we can imagine. He knows all the days of your life and nothing can fully measure to his loving thoughts about you. His eyes are always watching over you through joy and through trial. Victory is yours.

Write It Down

Several years ago I was struggling with NOT receiving an answer to a prayer that I had been diligently praying for years and years. When I was cleaning out the drawers next to my bed last week I came across the verse that I had written down on a notecard. I had forgotten all about it. I had originally written it out and set it next to a picture of my daughter. I would be reminded each morning when I woke up that God’s promises are true. I must have put the notecard in the drawer next to my bed when I was dusting. I forgot all about the Bible verse. Isn’t that like us to forget? Sometimes it doesn’t feel like our requests are being heard or that God is even moving on our behalf. We forget the promises that are directly deposited to us by God.

Our circumstances don’t change and can even get worse at times. This verse was downloaded to me straight from heaven. It was at a time when nothing I was trying was working to bring about healing to my oldest daughter. I had tossed and turned all night after what seemed like a never ending tale of unanswered prayers and disappointing treatments that didn’t bring relief or answers. I remember it like it was yesterday. God gave me the address of Habakkuk 2:3 in my mind.

It was a soft whisper but clearly heard.

I knew it was from Him because I didn’t know where Habakkuk was in the Bible and most certainly did not have any verses memorized from that book. I looked up the verse and the ones preceding and following it. It was like an arrow shot straight to my heart!! He reminded me that the appointed time was not forgotten and that I must wait for it. I thought He might need the reminder, so I wrote it down. Plus, He did say to make it plain and write it down. The revelation was simple.

“The good work God had started in my daughter He Would complete until the day of Christ.”

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6

The circumstances didn’t change over night. The complications were still there and continue to be to this day. However what I have seen is that in spite of those hindrances she is able to be independent and live out her dreams and passions. God must have known that I once again would NEED that reminder this week. He so graciously made me aware that He did speak to me back then and still does bank on that promise. He is making all things possible in Christ for my daughter. He is healing her and one day she will no longer struggle with this annoying “issue”.

We all need reminders that His promises are relevant for us today and He delights in us standing on them with Him in faith. I’m here to remind you though it linger wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. Make an appointment today and write it down.

Write on,
Kelley Allison

The Lord’s Answer

2 Then the Lord replied:

“Write down the revelation

and make it plain on tablets

so that a herald[a] may run with it.

3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;

    it speaks of the end

    and will not prove false.

Though it linger, wait for it;
