He is Risen: Fact or Fantasy

It is spring time and Easter celebrations have strolled on by, soon taking us into the summer season.

“He is Risen” has  been proclaimed and heard at many church services.

Do you ever wonder if you could scientifically prove that the resurrection of Christ really occurred thousands of years ago?

There is a movie out in theaters now based on a book that was was written by Lee Strobel.

Lee sets out to disprove this “theory” that he believed to be a made up story that was not based on provable facts.

I went to see the movie not really expecting anything much. I was quite surprised how well it was made and produced. It presented facts that are interesting and eye opening. Whether or not you believe it’s a theory or it is a proven fact that Jesus died and was raised from the dead this movie will entertain all.

Case For Christ Movie Description
In 1980, Lee Strobel’s (Mike Vogel) award-winning, investigative reporting earns him a promotion to legal editor at the Chicago Tribune. Things at home aren’t going nearly as well. His wife Leslie’s (Erika Christensen) newfound faith in Christ compels Lee to utilize his journalistic and legal training to try and disprove the claims of Christianity, pitting his resolute atheism against her growing faith.

The Resurrected King Is Resurrecting Me

The grave could not hold Him.

 He is Risen!

He Is Risen Indeed!

Now in Christ we too have that same resurrection power living in us.

Enjoy this great song by Elevation Worship called Resurrecting.

Listen to the Bridge about half way through for these amazing lyrics:

By Your spirit I will rise

From the ashes of defeat

The resurrected king

Is resurrecting me

In Your name I come alive

To declare your victory

The resurrected king

Is resurrecting me

Sunday’s Coming

“It’s Saturday!

But Sunday’s a-comin’!

It’s Saturday, but don’t let that get you down. Remember, Sunday’s a-comin’!

It’s Saturday and Jesus has gone to the cross, but never-you-mind.

That’s not the whole story.

Sunday’s a-comin’!”

  “Alleluia!”

You Can Do It!

If you have been baptized into Christ Jesus and you walk as a Christian, no longer can you pronounce that your spirit is willing but your flesh is weak.

You can only say that your sprit is free and your flesh is dead. You are a new creation, a beloved child of the greatest Father. You were not born again to a spirit of fear, though if you fear anything let it be God in His inexpressible glory and goodness, but you have been born into a spirit of power, and love, and a sound mind.

Throw off the old belief of being a sinful person and put on the righteousness freely given to you through the blood of Jesus.

Walk bold and confidently as a child and shine so bright that others will want the same freedom and salvation that you obtain!

Run this race with diligence and always help your fellow brothers and sisters on the way. Jesus said to follow Him which means….

YOU CAN DO IT!

Love you guys and so does Jesus 🙂

Unwavering Faith

We have the same Spirit that raised Christ Jesus living inside of us. We have been given authority and power through the Holy Spirit.

We must have unwavering Faith and Belief in our Lord. Jesus told us if we had true and real Faith as small as a mustard seed we could move mountains..MOUNTAINS!

I don’t know about you, but I want to see the miraculous!

Jesus told us we would do even greater things than He did.
Let’s go after this thing called Christianity and heal the sick, restore sight, raise the dead, heal the lame, raise the broken hearted and everything else we are called to do as Sons and Daughters! .

“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” — John 14:12-14

Crucified

Worthy Thought:

The purpose of being crucified was by love.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I that live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

—Galatians 2:20–21”

Crucified by love

“They nailed Jesus to the cross.

“Father, forgive them,” Jesus gasped. “They don’t understand what they are doing.”

“You say you have come to rescue us!” people shouted. “But you can’t even rescue yourself!”

But they were wrong. Jesus could have rescued himself. A legion of angels would have flown to his side—if he’d called.

“If you were really the Son of God, you could just climb down off that cross!” they said.

And of course they were right. Jesus could have just climbed down. Actually, he could have just said a word and made it all stop. Like when he healed the dying little girl. Stilled the storm. And fed 5,000 people with five fish and two loaves of bread.

“You see, they didn’t understand. It wasn’t the nails that kept Jesus there.

It was love.”

     ~Jesus Storybook Bible

“Jesus has infinite power that He denied for the sake of love.” ~ Angie Smith / Mended

“As we walk with God in our struggles we have a choice like Jesus did; to be crucified with Christ, or climb down.” ~Angie Smith / Mended.

Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 16:24 “Whoever wants to be my follower, must deny himself and take up the cross and follow me.”

Either way, with God or without God you will still face the same struggles. By having faith and choosing Christ brings glory to God. His abounding love will guide you and help you through your struggles and defeat the enemy.

I choose to follow Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, to share the good news of the gospel with others knowing that I must carry the heavy cross, nails to my wrist, and wear the crown of thorns on my head. My love must be like Christ and I shall not perish but have eternal life with God.

Jesus said, “for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ” John 3:16

If I didn’t choose Jesus Christ in this path, my struggles will continue, even worse if I die without knowing or accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, my life will be in turmoil now through eternally.
The worst part if I perished without knowing Jesus Christ; I will never remember God’s love for me.

Jesus said if anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. John 15:6

Gods love for us was sacrificed through his son Jesus Christ on that cross. When we accept this beautiful gift, God’s Love will carry you through what you think is impossible because through it, He will strengthen you, encourage you everyday until the glorious day when He calls us home because God’s son has already Risen.

Getting The Clue

I hadn’t a clue for far too many years.

I sometimes think how much time I wasted as a young girl, teen, adult, wife, and mother. I did so many things wrong. I had a ton of defects in my character. I am so thankful that I finally started getting the clue.

I did religion most of my life and thought I had to work my way to heaven and gain God’s love and approval. I also lived in guilt and shame and condemnation for many years but would also keep sinning and believing Grace would keep me covered.
I probably was barely skidding into Heaven.

I did not even have the slightest clue on so many things.  I was clueless!

As I have grown and developed a relationship with Jesus and no longer practice any form of religion it is so freeing. I try to live and teach my children to live by a Biblical world view.

I don’t look at His word, the Bible, as a list of rigid rules and meaningless stories. I look at it as covenants and promises and valuable information for me to get a clue on what is the best way to live and how to allow God to change all my defects of character.

I am learning to release my control and rely on God and no longer on my self.
This fasting experience is taking me so much deeper and closer to God. It is showing me that in just 21 days that there is a much better way to live. I don’t have to live in bondage to my flesh. I have Christ in me so I always have His resurrection power readily available to me.

Lord, may I never take for granted Your living Word and Power. May I remove anything that does not bring You Glory. May my life be a sermon preached without words. Remove the dullness and defects of my character so that You can shine more brightly through me to others. Thank You for being so patient with me. Thank You for lovingly revealing the best You have for me through Your love letter, the Bible. Help me to unpack and store all Your promises in my heart. Thank You for saving me despite my selfishness and sin that I lived in for far too long. I know You are the Great Restorer. You make all things new and work all things out for my good. Thank You for Your greatest sacrifice, Jesus. I am so grateful that now because of Christ I am in on everything so I never have to be clueless again. ~ Amen.

                 ~XXOO Michelle Bollom

But don’t take any of this for granted. It was only yesterday that you outsiders to God’s ways had no idea of any of this, didn’t know the first thing about the way God works, hadn’t the faintest idea of Christ. You knew nothing of that rich history of God’s covenants and promises in Israel, hadn’t a clue about what God was doing in the world at large. Now because of Christ—dying that death, shedding that blood—you who were once out of it altogether are in on everything. ~Ephesians 2:11-13 MSG

The Same Power

What a great song! We have the resurrection power in us when we have Christ in us. We have the same power to not be overtaken and to overcome.

Same Power -Jeremy Camp

I can see

Waters raging at my feet

I can feel

The breath of those surrounding me

I can hear

The sound of nations rising up

We will not be overtaken

We will not be overcome
I can walk

Down this dark and painful road

I can face

Every fear of the unknown

I can hear

All God’s children singing out

We will not be overtaken

We will not be overcome
The same power that rose Jesus from the grave

The same power that commands the dead to wake

Lives in us, lives in us

The same power that moves mountains when He speaks

The same power that can calm a raging sea

Lives in us, lives in us

He lives in us, lives in us
We have hope

That His promises are true

In His strength

There is nothing we can’t do

Yes, we know

There are greater things in store

We will not be overtaken

We will not be overcome
Greater is He that is living in me

He’s conquered our enemy

No power of darkness

No weapon prevails

We stand here in victory

That None Should Perish

This is the desire of my heart

Every Single Second!

This one thing I know

And Believe

With every fiber of my being

Jesus loves

All of us

The same

With an exuberant

Passionate

Astounding

Fanatical

Sweet

Precious

Abba Father

Love

That powerful

Run after you

No matter what!!!!!

Where????

Or how……

Can snatch anyone

From hell’s pit

Rescuing them

Forever

His Saving Grace

Bleeding out

Till His death do us part

Then

His RESURRECTION

Ensuring our safety

Announcing

Our names

And seating us with

Him

It is His heart

And will

And plan

That none should perish
