Chill Ax

Chill ax!!

Don’t get caught up too much in the things of this world. Don’t stress over tomorrow or what happened yesterday.

Basically, there is nothing new under the sun.

Everything is created with cycles in minds. The seasons, flowers, moon phases, animal kingdom and even us!!

Surrendered Moments

Are you drowning in a massive “To-Do” list?

Are you finding yourself tired and worn out with not enough hours in the day?

Has your mind been wracked with fear and worry?

God will give you the grace and strength you need for each moment surrendered unto Him.

Stop fighting the currents and working against the tides. Surrender each moment of doubt, worry, fear, and control to God, and allow Him to carry you safely where He needs you to go.

Things are never forced with God.

Nothing New Under the Sun

Awko Taco it seems everywhere I turn I am reminded to take a peek into Ecclesiastes. That’s the book of the Bible right after Proverbs.  It’s written by King David’s son Solomon.
The richest and wisest man to ever live they say. His mama was Bathsheba and it is said that Solomon had over 300 concubines. Not sure that is too wise of a choice or choices for one lone man!!

Anyways, my simple message I am taking away from this book of wisdom in the Bible is basically

Chill ax!!

Don’t get caught up too much in the things of this world. Don’t stress over tomorrow or what happened yesterday.  Basically, there is nothing new under the sun. Everything is created with cycles in minds. The seasons, flowers, moon phases, animal kingdom and even us!!

Everything ends up cycling back!!

Just look at the fashions trends. Ladies, watch out I do believe those bright floral pants are making there way back from the 8o’s.

You may want to grab a pair while they last. Looks as though the high waist came with them too.  No more crack attack!!

Let’s just look at one chapter in Ecclesiastes.

Chapter 3

There’s a Right Time for Everything
(The Message)

There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth:

2-8 A right time for birth and another for death,
A right time to plant and another to reap,
A right time to kill and another to heal,
A right time to destroy and another to construct,
A right time to cry and another to laugh,
A right time to lament and another to cheer,
A right time to make love and another to abstain,
A right time to embrace and another to part,
A right time to search and another to count your losses,
A right time to hold on and another to let go,
A right time to rip out and another to mend,
A right time to shut up and another to speak up,
A right time to love and another to hate,
A right time to wage war and another to make peace.
9-13 But in the end, does it really make a difference what anyone does? I’ve had a good look at what God has given us to do—busywork, mostly. True, God made everything beautiful in itself and in its time—but he’s left us in the dark, so we can never know what God is up to, whether he’s coming or going. I’ve decided that there’s nothing better to do than go ahead and have a good time and get the most we can out of life. That’s it—eat, drink, and make the most of your job. It’s God’s gift.

14 I’ve also concluded that whatever God does, that’s the way it’s going to be, always. No addition, no subtraction. God’s done it and that’s it. That’s so we’ll quit asking questions and simply worship in holy fear.

15 Whatever was, is.
Whatever will be, is.
That’s how it always is with God.
God’s Testing Us
16-18 I took another good look at what’s going on: The very place of judgment—corrupt! The place of righteousness—corrupt! I said to myself, “God will judge righteous and wicked.” There’s a right time for every thing, every deed—and there’s no getting around it. I said to myself regarding the human race, “God’s testing the lot of us, showing us up as nothing but animals.”

19-22 Humans and animals come to the same end—humans die, animals die. We all breathe the same air. So there’s really no advantage in being human. None. Everything’s smoke. We all end up in the same place—we all came from dust, we all end up as dust. Nobody knows for sure that the human spirit rises to heaven or that the animal spirit sinks into the earth. So I made up my mind that there’s nothing better for us men and women than to have a good time in whatever we do—that’s our lot. Who knows if there’s anything else to life?

So today is my present that I am unwrapping and enjoying now. It’s a gift and I am thankful.

Thanks God for giving me today.
I shall enjoy it!😜

Breathe

IMG_0692-0.JPG

When one news story after another keeps hurling fear and panic to the masses and it seems as though the whole world’s gone crazy and you can’t seem to escape all the demands swirling around you- it’s time to take a break, catch your breathe. and let these words permeate your soul.

This weeks Song Sunday is by Bryan & Katie Torwalt.

I Breathe You In

Turn it up and breathe in deeply!

Lyrics:
The presence of the living God,
satisfies the depths of my heart
all of me changed when you came,
Iʼm made free by Your glory and grace

I breathe You in God, cause You are thick all around me
I breathe You in God, cause You are thick all around me
You are Good God, For You are good to me
You are Good God, For You are good to me

The brightness of Your loves pure light,
Pierces through the darkest of nights
Everything is possible now,
For God is here and God is good

When I donʼt understand Iʼll choose You
When I donʼt understand I will choose You God
When I donʼt understand I will choose to Love You God

When we don’t understand, all we have to do is choose- Choose God.

As the song says, Everything is possible now, For God is here and God is good!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Coming up short?

Sometimes do you feel that you are coming up short every where you turn?

Short on time, patience, Grace, health, finances, love, energy…

When your mind is spinning and you are stressing on how to meet deadlines, meet needs, meet obligations, or whatever it seems to be, has you overwhelmed and burdened and you just can’t seem to stretch anymore and have no idea how you will be able to fill in those spaces of lack?

Well it is time to throw those hands up and reach up to God and His promise. A promise that leaves no room for lack and doubt that you will come up short.

“And God is able to make ALL grace abound to you, so that in ALL things at ALL times, having ALL that you need, you will abound in every good work.” ~ 2 Corinthians 9:8

WOW- I love this promise that When I can’t quite get there and I am coming up short that God is Able!

So sit back and relax for His Promise is not for a little … Nope -He promises ALL. No stretching, stressing, worrying or doubt… He is the One that works it ALL out! XXOO ~ Michelle Bollom
