A Seed Of Potential

I am grounded in grace.

I am rooted in Gods love.

There is mercy in His name and He will not cut me down.

He has planted a seed of potential and fruit will grow from me.

I will use all of the dissapoitnments, all of the discouragements, all of the hurt, all of the times people left, all of the scraped knees as fertilizer.

This harvest moon is a promise of Gods second coming. It is a sign that all of the promises that He has made are coming to pass.

I Will Trust In His Name

The Lord says,
I will rescue those who love me, I will protect those who trust in my name,~Psalm 91:14

I lingered in despair. I was without hope and stripped of my identity.

But now…..I praise God above who said, “What is my truth? For it is plenty.”

He said, “There is no lie that defines who you are.

I come with no condemnation.

There is no need to compare yourself.

Because I have given you the name – CHOSEN

Somehow, painful wounds, have deceived you into questioning.

You see…. I have come so that you may have life in the completeness of my will,
not only for here on this earth, but also for all that is in heaven.

You were bought for a price, paid in full. My life was sacrificed for it all.

My love for you has always been with the greatest of intention.

The Ultimate Gift is what it is called. It is one that requires no repayment.

Understanding my truth, knowing who you are, will be exchanging your past
for my perfection. I made you unique, one of a kind; you are set apart –
in the likeness of my own image. So run to me oh weary one, come out from
under dark places. For there is a light unmistakably present, in the
transparency of your Father.

My love for you is offered out of kindness, grace, and mercy.

For I planned your life a long time ago. My purpose would be for many.
It will become the identity mirrored between a Father and a daughter.

So go now, my child, and be fulfilled, in the promises that I have spoken.

For your life was orchestrated from the beginning of time.

I am forever and always unchanging.

Go out to the ends of the earth, and Share the heart of your Father.

GOD sacrificed Himself so that (I – we) could understand His TRUTH. God has given us all a name. What name has he given to you? What is your identity in Christ?

May you be reminded that you are His masterpiece; full in purpose, sought out and planned. Walk in His love and truth this day; be ready for His journey.

From Being Barren to Giving Birth

Genesis 25:21 “Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD answered him and Rebekah his wife conceived.”

Before I begin the series, I just wanted to briefly touch on the birthing process. See in life, giving birth is a process. First the egg must be released and the seed must be planted. No seed, no baby. All births begin with seed and then the seed continues to grow. Growth only occurs if the seed is being properly nourished. If the seed is not nourished properly, your pregnancy might come to a drastic end and you might lose your baby or your baby might be born prematurely. Honestly you don’t want either.

When GOD is trying to help you give birth to a new you, a new business, a new project or a new idea- you might feel barren; but GOD will say it’s time to give birth. It does not matter how old you are or whether you have ever given birth before. Just like a physical pregnancy, you will experience a spiritual pregnancy and endure the birthing phases.

You will experience phases in sequential order:

1. Ovulationthis is the phase that causes you to place your life in GOD’s hands. It was revealed to me that I needed to release myself from the need of controlling everything in my life. This was not easy; but it was necessary. The word tells us that Rebekah was barren for 20 years; but regardless of the time, GOD answered her prayers. If you don’t release your life to him, you will never experience giving birth to all he has promised for you.

2. Conceptionthis is the phase in which GOD will help you to conceive your purpose. God’s promise seed for your life is planted.

3. Gestationthis is time or season in which your baby is being developed. Some people might be in the season for one year and others might be in this season for many years. This totally depends on what GOD has ordained specifically for you. This is the phase that requires nourishment. I recommend you feed yourself with the word of GOD and drink from the well of the living water so that GODs word will live in you and radiate through your baby.

4. Contraction (Labor)at this point of the birthing cycle, many people experience a whole lot of pain. This is when your life is getting prepared to give birth so something new. Many people might describe this phase a level 5 storm.

5. Birth– …Some people want to quit at this phase; because the pain seems too hard. What you don’t realize in the moment is that if you push one more time you will give birth to your baby….PUSH!

When GOD wants us to conceive, we will; I believe it is important to have an intimate relationship with him before conception. When we do, we can truly rest in him to protect our baby and guide us along the way during our pregnancy and after we give birth.

Discovery Question:

What season are you in? Are you feeling barren or getting ready for birth? What do you need to give over to GOD?

Isaac prayed for his wife to get pregnant, and GOD answered. Wherever you are in your birthing phase, I encourage you to give it over to GOD, let him answer. When you do, you will experience peace and you will be able to rest.

The Close Proximity Of Promise

He was magnificent!
He did not see himself
The way she saw him
He had no idea
Her love for him…
He only saw
What she wasn’t
What she would
Never be
How ironic
How malicious
How many people
Live in the close proximity
Of promise
Never
Entering in
That sweet land
Of milk and honey
Where it is easy
To see
Everything
Perfectly

Away From

Run away from
Turn away from
Pull away from…
Me
All you do is flee
The cycle of misery
No remedy
Just your
Constant injury
You
Shy away from
Ply away from
Hide away from
Me
Let’s try
Facing the crime
Seeing the truth
Walking
Talking
Accepting
Our loss
And
Helping
Seeking
Hoping
Reaching
To seek and find
The love we need
We must
Look for
Believe for
Promise to be
The love we need
Instead of
Falling from
Dreading
Denying
Disappointing
Shutting down
The Greatest Love
We
Could ever be
Let’s move away from
This insanity
We
Simply
Awake Now!
Away from
This sullen sleep.

Resurrection

Define:

Resurrection can be defined as the act of restoring a dead person, condition of being restored to life, and the rising again from the dead of all mankind at the Last Judgment.

Affirm:

Act 3: 13-15 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

Recall:

The past few days were days in which we gathered with friends, family, and loved ones to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.  Many of us started our weekend on Good Friday- coming together to break fast from Lent.   Then many of us gathered in our communities to take our children Easter Egg hunting.  Lastly, many of us celebrated the rising of Christ on Sunday.

The resurrection of Christ is a big deal and I will recap the importance of this weekend.

1. Jesus proved how divine he is by dying on the cross.
2. Christ died to forgive us of our sins.
3. The resurrection proves that we can have eternal life
4. The resurrection proves that the enemy can be defeated.

I thank you Lord for Christ’s resurrection!  As I pondered more this Easter Sunday, I thought wow sometimes I feel like the enemy tries hard to defeat me.  I am so thankful that in GOD in Christ, I am restored.  I am so thankful that Christ died so that I can be free.  I am so glad that I can have eternal life.

You are resurrected and God can bring restoration in your life!

Exercise:

Dear GOD,

Thank you so much for giving up your son for me.  I am so grateful that in him I have eternal life.  Please help me to put all my trust in you O’Lord.  God just like you resurrected your son; I seek restoration, and healing in my life.  I love you and thank you.

Commit to the challenge.  I DARE you.

Breathe

IMG_0692-0.JPG

When one news story after another keeps hurling fear and panic to the masses and it seems as though the whole world’s gone crazy and you can’t seem to escape all the demands swirling around you- it’s time to take a break, catch your breathe. and let these words permeate your soul.

This weeks Song Sunday is by Bryan & Katie Torwalt.

I Breathe You In

Turn it up and breathe in deeply!

Lyrics:
The presence of the living God,
satisfies the depths of my heart
all of me changed when you came,
Iʼm made free by Your glory and grace

I breathe You in God, cause You are thick all around me
I breathe You in God, cause You are thick all around me
You are Good God, For You are good to me
You are Good God, For You are good to me

The brightness of Your loves pure light,
Pierces through the darkest of nights
Everything is possible now,
For God is here and God is good

When I donʼt understand Iʼll choose You
When I donʼt understand I will choose You God
When I donʼt understand I will choose to Love You God

When we don’t understand, all we have to do is choose- Choose God.

As the song says, Everything is possible now, For God is here and God is good!

Enjoy your Sunday!
