First and foremost
I am a believer
Christ like soldier
Alive unto God and His righteousness
Receiver of His tender mercies
That endure forever
Father help me to forget
Those things that weigh me down
Trying to keep my mind on myself
My past and foolishness
Forgiveness be my battle call
Offering His precious blood
To all who will heed
Living spirit of the chosen one
Strong arm of the Lord is still
Preaching, teaching, reaching
Rescuing all lost souls
Who long to dwell in safety
Under the shadow of His wings
Tripping and entangled in my youth
Tormented by truths of my yesterday’s
Ignoring the call
To fall down on my knees
Intervening for humanity
Lord, please place within me
An urgency to tell them
To repent and follow thee
For bringing the glorious gospel
You have given
All for me
Those things I remember
She called me yesterday morning.
I had no idea who she was for about five minutes.
I recognized the desperation in her voice!
As I listened to her it dawned on me how much we are alike.
All hell has broken loose in her world & she knows whose she is.
God isn’t distant; He is in that storm & Lord of it!!!
Even though He seems cruel & gone, He is present.
Listening to her woe was excruciating because I could not rescue her from it.
She is weary. She is spent. She is Leary. She is bent.
Not finished! Not over! Just needing to be covered in prayer.
Someone to recognize her pain & ease her into the light.
Assist her into the posture of peace.
On her knees…..waiting, wondering, wrestling, wringing doubt from her tear stained robe of righteousness.
We lifted each other up with HOPE.
Not of this world but His Kingdom living inside!!!
It is key to remember what He has done in the past so that we can encourage one another with His Victorious Future!!!
She is on her way home & she is not alone.
His angels escort her to & home safely.
She is being led by peace & His favor & friendship belong to her, His Beloved.
With the Robin Williams tragedy splashed all over the news, computers, and our twitter and Facebook feeds; I can’t help but feel certain that what the world needs desperately is Jesus Christ. Robin Williams is just one more in the millions of people suffering from addiction and depression that have taken their own life. Our world is full of hurting people living meaningless lives on the brink of death because they are holding on to secrets, sins, or struggles. People don’t need some dead dry religion or sets of rules, they don’t need judgement, they need the real living breathing Spirit of God to blow through their lives and remove all the junk the world tries to throw at us and keep us bound. People need someone to share the Truth of God’s Transforming and Restoring power to change their hearts and lives. Only Jesus breaks every chain! We are not meant to do life alone. It is not a competition. We need to stop playing like we have it all together and share our vulnerability, our hurts, our struggles, our stories. We all have a story that needs to be told. We repair our stories when we begin to share our stories. We are only as sick as our secrets.
We only overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony. #RestoredMinistries wants to see Overcomers rising up! We want to see people begin to #LiveRestored lives.

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, the One who called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself restore, empower, strengthen, and establish you. (1 Peter 5:10 CEB)
