Time To Dream Again

Looking through some of my writings from last year, the Lord drew me again to this word of encouragement for those who may have forgotten their purpose, or who have possibly lost the passionate dreams that they originally had from the Lord.  I feel that this word is pertinent to many during this season of frustration, feeling silenced and having normal life distracted by this pandemic.

I know that His plans for His people have not changed, even if they have been disrupted.  I felt this week that He wanted to remind us of the dreams, plans, and passions that He put inside of us – REGARDLESS of what our bank accounts or job situations may look like in this season.

One of the things that He pointed out to me this week is that some need to go back to a time in their walk with God when money was of no real consequence to them. A time when they were full of radical faith and holy spirit dreams and were willing to let go of everything just to get to the ends of the Earth for Jesus. The days when they would sell all they had for the treasure in the field (Matthew 13:44). A day when, though the bank account may have said otherwise, every single bill was paid for and every need was met in an Ephesians 3:20 way.

I heard Him say that fear often masquerades as “worldly wisdom,” but you are not of THIS world! Even with children. ESPECIALLY with children, your God will meet ALLLL of your needs according to HIS glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

His plans for you are to PROSPER you, not to harm you.  He has a HOPE and a future for you (Jeremiah 29:11).

DON’T SETTLE FOR THE WORLD, or its ways, when you were created to take the enemy’s camp.

“Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal” – John 6:27.

This is a season for sons and daughters of God to DREAM BIGGER, and not disregard the seedlings of dreams that were taking root at the beginning of 2020.  I feel such a challenge to begin to once again water those small dreams and nurture them, without forgetting or “shelving” them because of lack of finance or fear of the unknown future.

If you are delighting in Him fully, then chances are the desires and dreams in your heart have been planted there by Him anyway (Psalm 37:4).

Today, I call you up into remembrance of what the Lord has done and has promised!! He will never lie or change His mind (Numbers 23:19).  He will always provide, always give you sufficient grace, and always guide your steps.

Don’t let what you see in the natural hold you back – it’s time to DREAM again!

WORTHY THOUGHT: Be a Tomorrow Thinker.

The only thing worse than being blind is having a sight but no vision.-Helen Keller

Dreams of tomorrow help us to persevere through adversity of today, endure criticism, and finish strong.
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tablets, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.-Habakkuk 2:2-3

Tomorrow thinkers get the most out of everyday. Be patient even during difficult times

God is always at work planning for our future. Trust in Him for He is directing all things for His purpose.

A Gift of Awakening

Weariness is overtaking me.                  Surrendering to this force of darkness                   Is a temptation I may not resist.                              I long to find some sense of strength.

This cloud is hovering much too low.
Do I dare take a step forward,
Lest I fall into a blur of hopelessness?
Oh, to have not lost the desire to dream.

The sting of failure is too much to bear.
Falling, tumbling, spiraling into the pit
Is inevitable as the world closes in around me.
The thought of being snatched up in time is no longer.

As I hit the bottom, Your presence overtakes me.
The sound of Your voice extinguishes despair.
Your words lift me to a place of no resistance.
Your brilliant light brings me renewed strength.

The sky is clear and my spirit weightless.
I am made new as I rise with You.
To succumb to darkness, You allow me not.
With dreams You fill me as a gift of awakening.

The stench of fear no longer suffocates me.
In my failure, You stand in my place.
Victorious not in my own right,
I call you Abba Father, Daddy God.
You are my cloud of strength, and I dream of no other.

Dream Big Daughter

Most of these blogs come out of my quiet time with God. I think I have a thousand journals sitting around my house. My newest journal has me dreaming big!!! It’s fancy with flowers and each page has a different design.

Just yesterday I was sitting outside soaking up the morning sun in my usual spot in my backyard. I did have to wrap a blanket around me because it was a crisp 55 degrees outside.

Just to catch you up with me!!
I’m on a question quest.
I’m asking all my questions to God.
I take my journal, pen, Bible and cup of Sozo coffee. (That’s a free advertisement)
I then read some scripture.

Watch the birds sneak over to get birdseed off the table.

Listen to my cat stretching and jumping at the door to let him outside.

Try to focus on my question!

Sometimes I listen to a soft song with encouraging words. My latest and greatest song this week is
No Longer Slaves by Jonathan David and Melissa Helser.
It just came out this month.

You can listen to it on a previous blog here: https://restoredministriesblog.wordpress.com/2015/02/12/unravel-me/

Then I write, write and write.

God seems to softly speak to me as I write and listen. It’s an art I just discovered.
We do have two ears and one mouth. That was a new revelation to me.

I asked God, “What do you call me?”
Immediately, I wrote down

My daughter-You are a ray of sunshine

I knew it was a written inspiration by Him.
How do I know?
I felt like He might have called me out on other such unbecoming qualities that I might possess at times.
Such as
….failure at keeping my cool
…complaining about circumstances
….out of control thoughts

But Noo!!!!!

I wrote down.
My daughter
You are a ray of sunshine

He calls me His daughter and He thinks I’m bright like sunshine.

That was not my thoughts.

I looked to see what my Father has to say about me in His Word. (The Bible)
Since I am a girl, I am His daughter not His son.

Galatians 4:4-8
4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

I Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

I am chosen by my Father to be His daughter. I am a co-heir called out of the darkness to be a ray of Sonshine.

You too can walk out of darkness into His marvelous light and become sons and daughters of God.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:16
