Inane

Worthy Thoughts: Refuse to get involved in inane discussions; they always end up in fights.

Inane is just one letter short of insane!

Inane means silly, foolish or pointless.

This is a great promise to remember!

Amazing Revelation Revealed

Name History of Jesus of Nazareth:
He is the Christ, the “Anointed One,” or the “Messiah.” The name “Jesus” comes from the Hebrew-Aramaic word “Yeshua,” meaning “Yahweh [the Lord] is salvation.” “Christ” is actually a title for Jesus. It comes from the Greek word “Christos,” meaning “the Anointed One,” or “Messiah” in Hebrew.

During a morning quiet time this week I was visualizing myself holding onto Jesus with my head on HIs shoulder. I had the thought, “What would it feel like to be held by Jesus?”

What if He physically stood by me and reached out to me? How strong and yet soft at the same time would His shoulder feel with my head buried in it?

Then out of no where came a thought that rushed through my thinker like a bolt of lightening.

“THAT IS WHY I CAME TO YOU THROUGH MY SON JESUS. YOU NOW HAVE THE ABILITY TO TOUCH ME, WALK WITH ME, TALK WITH ME AND I TOO AM ABLE TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH YOU!”

God desired intimacy with us. He sent Himself. (You have to really wrap your mind around that one.) He desired a relationship that went deeper than the Old Testament “holy visits and proclamations” through certain appointed prophets and leaders. He desires relationship with ALL of us. His children He created. You and me, each of us equally important and valuable to Him.

Jesus is the bridge of salvation that we can choose to cross and leave our sins behind us. We then position ourselves to be in good standing with a perfect holy God who DESIRES to hug us and hold our weary heads up to rest on His shoulders!

Lord,

Help me to truly understand all the mysteries that surrounds your Son as You, The Father in the flesh. I can not fully comprehend this without help from the Holy Spirit to reveal all that encompasses your love for me through your Son.

More Than A Name

I love learning new things!  Recently while I was researching and studying the story of Ruth from the Bible, I stumbled upon ruth as a word- not a person.
So now it makes sense where the word ruthless comes from.  I never knew it was more than a name.

I believe it of course had to of been created after Ruth, the Bible character, because she was the epitome of compassion for the misery of another.

All you words with friends and scrabble fans- here is a word you can use next time and impress your friends.

Utter Foolishness

fol·ly

ˈfälē/

n. lack of good sense; foolishness.

A man’s own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the Lord. ~ Proverbs19:3

I heard someone say Folly means “Utter Foolishness.” So when I saw today’s verse I would have to agree, that our own “utter foolishness” will ruin our life.

I started thinking about my earlier life experiences when I kept God in little compartments where I wanted Him to operate in and not interfere with me on other areas.

I wanted to keep God on the periphery of my life like a lawyer on retainer. I wanted a convenient God who was there when I needed Him and also wanted Him to leave me alone when I didn’t.

When I finally hit rock bottom and was drowning fast, I was mad and angry with God, my heart was raging against Him. Why? How? How could You let this or that happen? Where were you? Hello!!!, I need You to fix this mess I made…NOW!!

What I know now is everything that matters to us, does matter to God, but we can’t live like a heathen 6 days a week and only give God a few hours on Sunday’s and expect all to go well.

We must let Him be the integral and intimate foundation of every area of our life before troubles come so we are able to withstand the storms of life and make our way back up to the surface for another breath before we drown.
We have to allow Him free reign in our lives in every area If we ever want to be restored and live in wholeness.

Don’t let folly ruin your life. Release every area and struggle to God. Invite Him to take up complete and permanent residence and have His full way in every area of your life.

Lord, help me never to compartmentalize You. May I never keep You separated from me due to my own folly, sins, stubbornness or pride. Help me to allow You and Your presence to permeate every single area of my life. I need You every second of my day just as I need air to live. Help me to crucify my flesh and begin to live In rhythm with Your perfect Holy Spirit and resurrection power. I come fully surrendered to You. Strengthen me and settle me, make me what You will.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Keeping It Real

Fruition
\frü-ˈi-shən\
noun

Fruition-
The state of bearing fruit.
attainment of anything desired; realization;accomplishment:
the state of being real or complete.

We all know the definition of “fruition” meaning attainment or accomplishment and that it is the state of bearing fruit, but I did not know that one definition is “the state of being real or complete”.

That part of the definition really stuck with me-
So Fruition means also “Keeping It Real!”

Now that is something we should all strive to do, and with this new definition discovery it had me thinking-or pondering a little deeper- or maybe just scratching my head- but anyway I wrote this down:
When we are keeping it real and we understand we are complete in Christ, we won’t feel the need to be putting on airs, operating in a false self or finding our worth in incomplete things.  People will know we are Christ’s disciples because our fruit will be good and recognizable when we are keeping it real.
Then I read these verses:

But you will recognize them by their fruits. You don’t find sweet, delicious grapes growing on thorny bushes, do you? You don’t find delectable figs growing in the midst of prickly thistles. 17 People and their lives are like trees.Good trees bear beautiful, tasty fruit, but bad trees bear ugly, bitter fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear ugly, bitter fruit; nor can a bad tree bear fruit that is beautiful and tasty. 19 And what happens to the rotten trees? They are cut down. They are used for firewood. 20 When a prophet comes to you and preaches this or that, look for his fruits: sweet or sour? rotten or ripe? ~Matthew 7:16-20The Voice (VOICE)

This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples” ~John 15:8

So my final thoughts on all this…
Let’s live the fruition definition by keeping it real friends, show ourselves as Christ’s disciples and be about bearing much good fruit.
