The Power Within

Every word we speak relinquishes power – God spoke and it was so.

God’s power is in all of us. It is in everything he has given breath to.

The words that speak about ourselves become the truth that we live out while here on this earth. Whether we say things to ourselves in silence, or out loud, we become the very chatter we speak, sometimes underestimating the power that they have.

God desires us to live in the power by his word and in the truth given so that we can create a life with him.

Live in his truth today. Speak to yourself, to those around you, in the way God would speak to you.

“And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”-‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭ASV‬‬

An Exuberant Declaration

The Eternal is my light amidst my darkness and my rescue in times of trouble. So whom shall I fear? He surrounds me with a fortress of protection. So nothing should cause me alarm.

When my enemies advanced to devour me alive,They tripped and fell flat on their faces into the soil. When the armies of the enemy surround me,I will not be afraid. When death calls for me in the midst of war,my soul is confident and unmoved. I am pleading with the Eternal for this one thing,my soul’s desire: To live with Him all of my days—in the shadow of His temple,To behold His beauty and ponder His ways in the company of His people. His house is my shelter and secret retreat. It is there I find peace in the midst of storm and turmoil. Safety sits with me in the hiding place of God. He will set me on a rock, high above the fray. God lifts me high above those with thoughts of death and deceit that call for my life. I will enter His presence, offering sacrifices and praise. In His house, I am overcome with joy As I sing, yes, and play music for the Eternal alone. I cannot shout any louder. Eternal One—hear my cry and respond with Your grace. The prodding of my heart leads me to chase after You. I am seeking You, Eternal One—don’t retreat from me. You have always answered my call. Don’t hide from me now. Don’t give up on me in anger at Your servant. You have always been there for me. Don’t throw me to the side and forget me, my God and only salvation. My father and mother have deserted me, yet the Eternal will take me in. O Eternal, show me Your way, shine Your light brightly on this path, and make it level for me, for my enemies are lurking in the recesses and ravines along the way. They are watching—hoping to seize me. Do not release me to their desires or surrender me to their will! Liars are standing against me, breathing out cruel lies hoping that I will die. I will move past my enemies with this one, sure hope:that with my own eyes, I will see the goodness of the Eternal In the land of the living. Please answer me: Don’t give up. Wait for the Eternal in expectation, and be strong. Again, wait for the Eternal. ~Psalm 27:1-14 The VOICE

The psalms provide us with a way to think about and pray through the various threats we face. Our enemies today may not be the same as in biblical times, but they are no less real. Consider the threats on the horizon. Some may be national. Others may be more personal. Still they come to surround us and destroy us if they could only get the chance. The reality is there are times when our enemies appear to have the upper hand and our cause is lost. But wait and listen to the psalm! All is not lost because, ultimately, God is our light and salvation. The darkness will lift, and our Savior will come. He will settle all scores, and we will live in the beauty of His presence. ~Psalm 27 The VOICE Commentary

          Some translations call this Psalm
       “An Exuberant Declaration Of Faith.”

Exuberant: filled with or characterized by a lively energy and excitement.

I have to agree with that because those of us who have truly known our former hopeless and lost state and the pitiful conditions God rescued us from are now often shameless and unrelenting in our excitement and gratitude as we declare all the wonderful things he has done, is doing, and yet to do for us.

Jesus welcomes exuberance.

More than anything, it reflects a genuine understanding of His grace.

What are your thoughts?

       What are you exuberantly declaring?

Your Treasured Pool

God, Almighty!

Father of heaven and earth!

Hear my cry!

Allow me to walk on these raging waves!

Help me to keep my eyes upon You!

Lest I begin to sink!

Blind me from the storm that threatens to consume me!

Keep hold of my right hand, and lift me to rise above that which desires to kill me!

No tear have I ever shed that You do not hold! Take these tears of today and add to Your treasured pool!

Dry my eyes with the tissue of Your love!

 Envelop me with Your mercy!

Your grace!

Your peace!

Never have You forsaken me, and never shall You!

Thank You, Lord!

I receive and stand on Your everlasting promise to turn all things for good!

Surely, this moment, too, shall pass and be yet another testament to just exactly WHO YOU ARE!

All shall see!

All shall bend the knee!

21 / 21 Vision

I am going after some 21/21 vision these days.

Matthew 21:21

We have to back up a bit and see what’s going on ahead of our 21/21 vision.

Matthew 21:18-22
The Withered Fig Tree
18-20 Early the next morning Jesus was returning to the city. He was hungry. Seeing a lone fig tree alongside the road, he approached it anticipating a breakfast of figs. When he got to the tree, there was nothing but fig leaves. He said, “No more figs from this tree—ever!” The fig tree withered on the spot, a dry stick. The disciples saw it happen. They rubbed their eyes, saying, “Did we really see this? A leafy tree one minute, a dry stick the next?”

21-22 But Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Yes—and if you embrace this kingdom life and don’t doubt God, you’ll not only do minor feats like I did to the fig tree, but also triumph over huge obstacles. This mountain, for instance, you’ll tell, ‘Go jump in the lake,’ and it will jump. Absolutely everything, ranging from small to large, as you make it a part of your believing prayer, gets included as you lay hold of God.”

Matthew 21:21 basically says
If you have faith and do not doubt you too can move mountains and wither fig trees. Jesus reminded the disciples and now us the importance of our words. I would suggest our thoughts contribute to our vision of what we believe of things to come.
They all work together to create sight beyond our natural eyesight.

Do you want to see beyond what you can see with your eyeballs?

Me!! Me!! Raising my hand high up in the air,  jumping up and down.

I need to see past the circumstances of what I see with my natural eyesight.

A fig tree may not be involved.
It could be something else going on in your life. It’s possible things don’t look so promising for you. You didn’t hear the best news about one of your children or yourself.  You keep asking God for answers to why bad things keep happening.
You’re wondering how long your prayers are going to be stuck to the ceiling in your bedroom.
Keep speaking to that mountain.
Don’t give up!!
Take your doubt and exchange it for trust. Turn in your frustration and pick up some faith.  It only has to be as small as a mustard seed to get started.

Matthew 17:20
20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Listen to this song and ask God to give you new vision of your circumstances and take a chance on Him to hold you tight through the storm!!

It is Well by Bethel Music

Verse 1
Grander earth has quaked before
Moved by the sound of His voice
Seas that are shaken and stirred
Can be calmed and broken for my regard

Through it all, through it all
My eyes are on You
Through it all, through it all
It is well

Through it all, through it all
My eyes are on You
It is well with me

Verse 2
Far be it from me to not believe
Even when my eyes can’t see

And this mountain that’s in front of me
Will be thrown into the midst of the sea

Through it all, through it all
My eyes are on You
Through it all, through it all
It is well

Bridge x3
So let go my soul and trust in Him
The waves and wind still know His name(repeat last line during 3rd run)

It is well with my soul
It is well with my soul
It is well with my soul
It is well with my soul
repeat 3x(increasing in strength and volume)

It is well it is well with my soul x3
ahhhhhhh (softly)

Chorus x2-3 (softly slowly)
Through it all, through it all
My eyes are on You Lord
Through it all, through it all
It is well with me.

Mountain Move!!!

Revelation is defined as, a secret or surprising fact that is made known; an act of making something known; an act of revealing something in usually a surprising way or something that surprises you.

1 Corinthians 12:8 “To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit.”

Thinking of a topic to write about for the “New Year” was quite difficult. I wanted to open the year with the word “LOVE;” but God led me to write about something else. I must trust that his plan is the best.

So here we go……

In the New Year most of us are getting rid of the old and focusing on the new. It’s the time of year that we spend time reflecting on how we want our life to change as we move into the New Year. We tend to focus on setting new goals and establishing new resolutions. Common resolutions include:
• exercising more
• pursuing a dream or a project
• going back to school
• quitting smoking
• saving more money
• reading more
• finding a better job
• getting rid of unhealthy relationships
• serving more
• traveling more

Quick Question? Do you set new goals in the New Year? Do you create resolutions? Resolutions are good-if we commit to them. Historically, how successful have you been at following through with your New Year’s resolutions? Yearly, I create a list of resolutions. Some of them I accomplish and many of them are lost in the wind to find myself setting the same resolution year after year. How does this sound…almost every year; one of the resolutions that I have is the exact same resolutions for the previous year. This behavior is INSANE! I have been told that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. How can we produce different results if we are doing the same thing over and over again?

In writing this post, God led me to listen to Oceans by Hillsong. I was hoping that maybe the song would give me inspiration or a new thought to finish the post!

The chorus of the song is as follows:
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

AH-HA! There it is instead of creating resolutions; I hope that you consider asking GOD for a revelation.

Ask GOD to communicate his truth to you.
Ask GOD to reveal himself in an extraordinary way.
Ask GOD to increase your faith.
Ask GOD to use you to be a disciple.
Ask GOD to do something so amazing in your life that you will KNOW it was him.

ASK the spirit to lead you to a place you have never been……not to a resolution; but to a revelation!

As in 1 Corinthians 12:8, the spirit will reveal to us wisdom, knowledge or both. The only way for us to receive this information is to seek GOD in everything we do. This year I am asking God for his revelation in my life.

I started this week concerned about this post; but God is so timely. Everything is in his perfect plan. I hope you enjoyed the post.

HIllsong’s song “Oceans” truly ministered to me I encourage you to listen as well.

(Read this petition daily)

Dear God,

This will be my year of honoring you in everything I do. I ask that I am able to touch, hear, see, smell, taste, and receive your instruction of knowledge and wisdom. Lord, please take me to a place that I have never been- so that I and others can witness your miracles. Show me your revelation for my life.

Lereca (Your Name)

Commit to the challenge. I DARE you.
