Don’t Blink Moms And Dads

Oh – Momma’s and Daddy’s hold on!

You may be in the trenches of sleepless nights or walking the floors with teething tots ..but this too shall pass.

Dirty diapers and bottles galore

Spit up and drool

Too many words

Toys thrown all around

Drained bank accounts…

but this too shall pass.

Activities and projects and too many school papers to sign about to nut you up …

but this too shall pass.

Lunches packed

Lunch money forgotten

Breakfast of champions rushed

and backpacks left

Homework for too many hours

that cut into dinner time…

but this too shall pass.

Fighting and arguing

Multiple meltdowns

Slamming doors and

whining “I am Bored”…

but this too shall pass.

Dirty socks and dirty rooms and nothing ever put back in its spot

Toilet rolls empty and the last paper towel when you need two…

but this too shall pass.

Prayer and prayers

and more prayers

Uncomfortable topics discussed

Manners taught

Eagle eyes and snooping

through phones and rooms and stalking their social media accounts…

but this too shall pass.

Driving and dating and

late nights waiting…

but this too shall pass.

You wake up one day and BOOM 💥 just like that your babies are 20 and you can’t quite believe that many years have passed and you survived all of this X2!

No more Teens.

I now have amazing adults that work hard and have such an amazing and caring heart and love for God and others.

Wicked Smaht!

And crazy funny.

I always wanted a bald cotton top blue eyed boy and a curly haired green eyed girl…and I got just that!

At the same time!

I am so super blessed that these kiddos call me Mom. I could not have done it without my Jackpot of a Hubby and Baby Daddy.

Happy Birthday C & C

We love you – XXOO

Christmas Cheer

Let’s face it everyone who celebrates Christmas has different traditions, experiences and expectations. For most of us it goes all the way back to our childhood. We could all recall moments of wonderment. I wondered how Santa could logistically go to all the countries around the world in one night and deliver all the Christmas toys. I actually believed it was possible. My Santa hat should have been hung up way sooner than it was in my mind of childish imaginations.

Christmas celebrations brings friends and families together. Special time is set aside to celebrate around a warm fire, a Christmas tree or a big meal at a long table.

For some people Christmas brings great sadness and memories of lost family members and friends. Many will find they have no one to call and go gather around a fireplace, tree or dining table. Loneliness can set in when you are reminded your family is not with you anymore to celebrate.

So where ever you find yourself this Christmas season you have the CHOICE to make it the best time of the year.

Decide today that no matter what lot your find yourself parked in this holiday season it is a prime parking spot.

Up front and center, park your Christmas car and turn up the radio of your soul. Roll down your windows and sing out loud… “Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,

It is well.

It is well with my soul.”

We can’t do this alone. God is waiting to help you this Christmas season to be of good cheer. He reminds us in our darkest hours that it can be well with your soul.

Restoring Hope (even now)

I loved this blog! I know you will enjoy.

Every year is a year of Restoration!

               ~XXOO Michelle Bollom

I firmly believe this is a year of restoration… I may not understand everything (and probably won’t) but Papa is a restoring God. Those hopes that have been differed in my own life and yours have been heard. Those sleepless nights where it seems everyone else is having their desires met have not gone unnoticed. […]

My Times

Good and bad

Frail and strong

My times are in your hands

Soiled or shining

Right or wrong

My times are in your hands

Every day and every night

Through the darkness

Comes blessed dawn

My times are in your hands

Each breath I take

Each step of faith…..I crawl

My times are in your hands

My life

My times now Yours to use as willed

My times are in your hands

Your plans

Your hands

Your clay and heart to hold

My times are in your hands

Mold me Lord

Spirit, flesh, and soul

My times are in your hands

Let this lifetime be worth the blood spent

To purchase this heart that you now hold

My times are in your hands

My times are in your hands

My times are in your hands

Help Is On The Way

When you crash, He sends reinforcements. Fresh supplies! Not only does He give you your heart desires, He will accomplish your plans.
And once you win- we plan to raise the roof and lead the parade … With banners!
Take heart- help is on the way! Everything is going to work out. ~XXOO Michelle Bollom

Here is one of my absolute favorite verses in the Message translation.
What do you think of this verse?

GOD answer you on the day you crash, The name God-of-Jacob put you out of harm’s reach, Send reinforcements from Holy Hill, Dispatch from Zion fresh supplies, Exclaim over your offerings, Celebrate your sacrifices, Give you what your heart desires, Accomplish your plans.

When you win, we plan to raise the roof and lead the parade with our banners. May all your wishes come true! That clinches it—help’s coming, an answer’s on the way, everything’s going to work out. (‭Psalm‬ ‭20‬:‭1-6‬ MSG)

Resurrection can be defined as the act of restoring a dead person, condition of being restored to life, and the rising again from the dead of all mankind at the Last Judgment.

Act 3: 13-15 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

The past few days were days in which we gathered with friends, family, and loved ones to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.  Many of us started our weekend on Good Friday- coming together to break fast from Lent.   Then many of us gathered in our communities to take our children Easter Egg hunting.  Lastly, many of us celebrated the rising of Christ on Sunday.

The resurrection of Christ is a big deal and I will recap the importance of this weekend.

1. Jesus proved how divine he is by dying on the cross.
2. Christ died to forgive us of our sins.
3. The resurrection proves that we can have eternal life
4. The resurrection proves that the enemy can be defeated.

I thank you Lord for Christ’s resurrection!  As I pondered more this Easter Sunday, I thought wow sometimes I feel like the enemy tries hard to defeat me.  I am so thankful that in GOD in Christ, I am restored.  I am so thankful that Christ died so that I can be free.  I am so glad that I can have eternal life.

You are resurrected and God can bring restoration in your life!

Dear GOD,

Thank you so much for giving up your son for me.  I am so grateful that in him I have eternal life.  Please help me to put all my trust in you O’Lord.  God just like you resurrected your son; I seek restoration, and healing in my life.  I love you and thank you.

Commit to the challenge.  I DARE you.
