Should I Go or Should I Stay

Today’s post is about The Shack Movie

*slight spoiler alert

I read the book, The Shack by William P Young about nine years ago. My youngest daughter was about the same age as the character Missy in the book who goes missing and is tragically murdered. I remember putting the book down for two weeks when I got to the part where she disappears. It hit too close to home and the description of the little girl matched perfectly to my daughter at the time. I picked up the book again and actually skipped through the middle chapters to fast forward to the scene where Mack goes to the shack to meet Papa (God).

I remember reading the book and being so moved by the love of these three characters (The Trinity) meeting Mack. They delicately meet him exactly where he was with this horrible tragedy that had caused him such anger, grief and sorrow. I was so impressed with how the author depicted each character of the Trinity with such unique qualities that were so different yet so similar. I remembered I finished with a great sense of who God was to me. I started understanding more fully the unconditional love He has for each of us. The three in one mystery of God is delicately portrayed through the three characters that meet Mack and help him to gain an understanding of who God really is to us and how important we are to Him.

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

I loved how God chooses to meet Mack as a tender caring mother type figure. God knew that Mack had a hard time with his own father. He had harbored bitterness toward his father because of his past experiences with his abusive father. Mack can relax with this nurturing mother type as she answers all the hard questions he has about the tragic death of his daughter.

The three in one characters distinctively give Mack answers and illustrations showing him how all things are connected and effect each other. He meets up with Wisdom who shares revelations about how we choose to sit in the judgement seat and make false judgements that are without all the facts many times. I thought for sure I would be disappointed with the movie because it could never match the magnitude of the influence the book had on me nine years ago.

Boy, was I completely wrong. The movie provided amazing visuals and a story line that sticks closely to the message of the book. The producers did a fantastic job not losing the power of the message and bringing the story to life on the big screen. I would recommend you see the movie and sit in the judgement seat and decide for yourself if this production doesn’t stretch your heart to allow more room for God and less room for false judgments against yourself and others.

You will leave the theater after watching The Shack feeling like the Grinch whose heart just grew three sizes that day.

Go see the movie with an open mind and see if your heart doesn’t burst with new revelations about God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

“Just because I work incredible good out of unspeakable tragedies doesn’t mean I orchestrate the tragedies. Don’t ever assume that my using something means I caused it or that I need it to accomplish my purposes. That will only lead you to false notions about me. Grace doesn’t depend on suffering to exist, but where there is suffering you will find grace in many facets and colors.”

Our Words Create Our Future

Do you believe that your words are powerful? Do you believe that they create your future?

I have been so intrigued with these questions over the last five years that I have made it my mission to educate myself, my family and really anyone that I have an in depth conversation with (anyone that will listen, that is). I believe that God gave us all this amazing gift to create with our thoughts and our words. It is a law, just like gravity, it doesn’t matter if you believe it or not – it applies to everyone! Yes you!!!

The bible says God spoke the world into existence, that shows just how powerful words are. Note, we also call scripture, the “Word of God”. Have you ever heard the phrase, I give you my word? A man’s word is his honor and integrity and it means much more than most people realize.

Proverbs 18:21 says that “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love to talk shall reap the consequences.”
Scripture also says its sharper than a two edge sword and has the power to curse or bless!
Wow, now that’s pretty powerful to me!
If we really believe this, then why is it so easily forgetten and hard to control? It takes constant awareness and diligence to master your tongue, and I’m not even sure that’s possible, even for the most dignified, humble person in the world.

As I stated earlier, I have studied this in depth, read many books and have even given speeches to large audiences on this subject, and I still struggle daily with this principle. It is so easy to say things that you don’t mean and just brush them off. We say things like, you drive me crazy, you make me sick, I’m so fat, I’m a failure, and the list goes on and on . . . You can’t speak lack and expect abundance, you can’t speak sickness and expect health!

When you truly understand this principle it is life-changing and can turn a negative person into a positive person. Have you heard the saying, “change your attitude change your life”. This is a true statement, so learn to speak encouraging words and praise people and spread joy, laughter and light everywhere you go. A smile can brighten someone’s day, Including yours!

I honestly believe if we truly knew how much our words affect our future, that we would all think long and hard before we speak, we would strive to put good information into our brains, so our thoughts would be better, because thoughts become things and words create and our actions follow. Think about it, you say it then you do it – – I am going to the store and then you go; I am getting sick and you get sick. Jesus said, “My people can have what they say, but they say what they have”.

As you can see, this is such an in-depth subject that one blog cannot even begin to touch the tip on this subject.

If you want to learn more, I highly recommend a book called, God’s Law of Attraction by Patricia King – – it will enlighten you and give you amazing revelation on this topic. It is one of the best books I have ever read and have shared it with many of my friends.

Thy Kingdom Come

The Lord’s Prayer is one of the best loved and most spoken prayers on the planet, it is also called Our Father and Pater Noster. This was taught by Jesus to his disciples in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4. This is so important, as it is the only prayer Jesus taught them. He said, Pray like this.

The intention of our Savior was to transfer the kingdom from heaven to earth through believers – – referred by “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”. Matthew 6:10.

You may be thinking, oh my goodness that is a very big assignment for little ole me, and can I really live that way? I believe you can only live this way by knowing who you are — your true identity– through Christ Jesus!! It is a way of thinking and living your life from a place of knowing that Jesus, who lives in you, gives you everything you need to bring heaven to earth. It is seeking Him daily and learning and understanding His word and how it applies to you.
Last week, I attended a conference in Ft. Lauderdale, called As One Movement (www.asonemovement.com). It was awesome!

I truly learned just what it means to bring the Kingdom from Heaven to Earth and it was such an amazing revelation, I challenge each one of you to explore just what this means. There were great speakers like Lance Wallnau (www.lancewallnau.com), Jerry Niswander and Paul Marc Goulet (www.ICLV.com) I will do my best to get you started on this journey by sharing some excerpts from the a book called THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM, written by Paul Marc Goulet.

“Jesus goes on to tell Peter in Matthew 16:19 that, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Jesus proclaimed to Peter that, one day, he would receive the keys of the kingdom and he would have authority to bind and loose on earth just like He could in heaven. This promise was not just for Peter but for every believer who confesses Christ as Savior and Lord. That confession opens a massive portal of blessings and authority.

Jesus has the keys of the kingdom and He is willing to give them to every believer who wants to live a supernatural life, the keys were not just designed to build his church, they were designed to bring the kingdom of heaven to every life, every office, school, neighborhood, government and home.
When we make this type of heartfelt declaration Jesus starts the process of turning over the kingdom of heaven to us his heirs. The keys of the kingdom are real and their purpose is to unwrap the incredible gift that the Father wants to give to you because of his love. The keys of the kingdom unlock wealth, health, joy, peace and love which permanently dwell in heaven. They open the door that releases the atmosphere of heaven into a life and world so dark and polluted. Christ gives us keys that enable us to open the heavens in order to release angelic forces, creative powers and healing.
Remember, it is the father’s will to give you the keys. “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32.”

I believe this prayer is a reminder for each one of us to bring the kingdom of heaven to our own life and take it with us everywhere we go throughout our day, changing the atmosphere and bringing in the light to the dark places. When we truly know our identity and what we carry, we can begin to change the world one step at a time!!

Seated In Heavenly Places

It would seem natural that I might possibly ponder this thought today.

Seated in Heavenly Places

I am seated in the middle of an airplane seat looking out a window of clouds high above so many thousand feet in the air. Okay, well looking over the stranger who is sitting in the window seat. Actually, I am sandwiched in between two men who are on their phone devices. I too am hooked up to my music and wondering why I didn’t check in earlier to get a better chance of sitting next to my travel partners.
Live and learn.
I am reading the book, “Think like Heaven” by Bob Hazlett.

My elbows are bruising from the hard arm rests poking them.

Why is it that men always hog the arm rests and take them over???
Back to my book I am reading….

The author writes whole chapters on how to achieve this glorious feat of heavenly thinking.
I am just going to stop and ponder on this one thought right now.
Let’s see what God has to say about this matter.

Yes, it is because we are a part of Christ Jesus that God raised us from death and seated us together with him in the heavenly places. ~Ephesians 2:6

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:1-3
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what it means to be hidden in something.
I think of the hollow wooden nesting dolls. You know the ones you twist and open up and pull out the exact same doll only smaller to discover yet another one inside that doll.

It ends with a small teeny tiny solid one that doesn’t open.
I’m the wooden red doll hidden inside of Christ.
This particular verse says:
You have been raised with Christ.
Set your heart on things above……

where Christ is
(Where is He located?)

at the right hand of God
For I have died and my life is now hidden with Christ in God.
We know from other scriptures that we are to die as Christ is to live.
Spiritually speaking, I am alive in Christ Jesus.
I don’t have to board an airplane and fly up to sandwich myself between God and Jesus.
I am already there!!
They don’t hog the armrests!!
I am Seated in Heavenly Places
You can find me in seat 11 (just happens to be my favorite number) located in first class. Since God had much to do with firsts.
The cost and sacrifice was expensive for me to obtain this position. His life freely given so I can receive life, be free and sit as a coheir with Him.

Peek a Boo

There I am hidden in Christ. Can you see me waving out of the top of His head?
It is a whole different mindset to operate from this seat.
I choose to operate from my assigned seat. He called ahead and assigned me there.

Ephesians 1:4

He chose us in him before the creation of the world…”
God is way more organized than me!!
I am Seated in Heavenly Places!!
There’s a seat open next to me. It’s a window seat. I will scoot over and even share my arm rests!!

You too can book a flight with a seat hidden in Christ.
John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
