Celebrate Freedom

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. —John 8:36

It is my prayer that we will all thank God for the freedoms we enjoy because His son died to set us free indeed.

Happy 4th of July everyone!!

A Fourth of July Prayer

We lift up our hearts, O God, on this day of celebration in gratitude for the gift of being Americans.

We rejoice with all those who share in the great dream of freedom and dignity for all.

With flags and feasting, with family and friends,we salute those who have sacrificed that we might have the opportunity to bring to fulfillment our many God-given gifts.

As we deny all prejudice a place in our hearts, may we also clearly declare our intention to work for the time when all people, regardless of race, religion or sex, will be granted equal dignity and worth.

Come, O gracious God, who led your children Israel from slavery, keep us free from all that might hold us in bondage.

Bless our country and join our simple celebration that we may praise you, our Source of freedom, the One in whom we place our trust.

National Prayer Breakfast 2017

The National Prayer Breakfast was held yesterday. It has taken place since 1953.

According to Wikipedia…..

The National Prayer Breakfast is a yearly event held in Washington, D.C., on the first Thursday of February each year. … The National Prayer Breakfast is hosted by members of the United States Congress and is organized on their behalf by The Fellowship Foundation, a Christian organization.

You may have heard about the annual event on the news, I was told the news was focusing on the complaints that were being made about what Trump said in his speech. I will leave that up for your own interpretation

The livestream link is below.

Listen for yourself and see if you don’t gain a sense of a hope and a future for our country.

I listened to the WHOLE thing and found everyone’s songs, prayers and speeches unifying bringing both sides of the political arena together.
The event was very inspiring to see our government officials……
Depending on God for Guidance

I heard them putting their differences aside and praying together for the one common good of all people. It was an invitation to God to bless America and our government officials.

Let’s join with them and lift our leaders and America up in prayer for protection and prosperity.
One nation,

under God, indivisible

with liberty and justice

for ALL. (That means everyone!)

The Darkness Is Fading

There is a light that shines from above, it’s like the sun, it is the Son!

Although many have tried to dim the light, it was always there, shining bright.

A new season is upon us and the light is getting brighter as the veil has been lifted and the darkness is fading into the dawn.

A new day has begun!

Like the sun melts the snow, the light of the son melts the hearts of America and brings forth an awakening like never before. Eyes will be opened and ears will hear and the Son will shine brighter than ever before.

As the light intensifies, the love of Jesus comes alive!

Isaiah 49:8-9 This is what the Lord says: “In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, ‘Come out in freedom’ and to those in darkness, ‘Come into the light!’

Psalm 18:28 You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.

Matthew 5:15-16 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, for and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Shine on,

The Truth Remains The Same

Lord, how you love each one of your children.

I pray for your goodness and mercy to flow through this nation.

May individuals from sea to sea cast their votes for earthly leadership and then cast their cares and needs upon you and you alone.

Jesus, release me from the fear that today changes everything…or that today changes nothing.

The truth remains the same: Every morning I rise in the face of unknowns and am called to follow the One who knows the way.

This has not changed. This will not change.

Hate Never Wins

Lord, when the world is overcome by hate and hateful acts of terrorism help us to not point fingers, sling blame, or judge someone’s lifestyle.  Let us simply stop and remember all our brothers and sisters and be moved to love and pray.   Hate never wins.  Perfect Love always Wins! Fill our hearts with a greater capacity to love.  Remove all fear and doubt and worry from us.   When chaos and confusion hover all around, remind us Lord you are still in charge. You alone calm the seas and command the winds to be still.  You are the Prince of Peace, Lord Of Lords, The Great Comforter, our Daddy God.   Bring us together in a uniting of Love.  Comfort all who are grieving.  Turn those hearts that are filled with evil.  Protect our homes and communities. Cause a revival of love to break forth and unite us. May we continue to praise You and seek Your face Lord.  Restore and heal our land.   In Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.
