Can You Handle The Truth

If the truth sets you free then why do people get upset when the truth is told?

I have been reading in Jeremiah 42 and how the people begged and asked for a message from the Lord and they still chose not to obey it when they received it.

In Jeremiah 44 God is asking them- Why are you hurting yourselves continuing to worship idols- why do people make Me angry by making idols?

So as I was thinking on the above question regarding truth, here are my thoughts:

Maybe it’s because people want their own wills and ways. They would rather remain in bondage instead of choosing to be free.

Some get addicted to the attention of pity and a victim mentality so they will keep asking for truth from idols (other people) instead of seeking God.

They have no real intention of ever following it.

When people seek other people’s opinions or views as truth they get varying responses. Usually a watered down version that still feeds their egos and they like that and want more of that because it feeds into their neediness.
But when people do get an in your face obvious truth they will reject it and swallow the bait of offense instead.

They don’t like what they hear.

They can’t really handle the truth.

When we seek God and His truth- we only get One Truth- not one that feeds our egos.

The real truth is what people don’t like so much because they will have to act on it and make a choice to change their actions and behaviors.

Like picking up our own mat and get to steppin.

Before picking up that mat it first requires us to make a choice.
Will we leave our pity, victim mentality, egos and warped perceptions in order to pick up that mat?

I believe people reject the truth, get upset and instead seek their idols and remain in bondage because they aren’t willing to make the choice to change.

When you hear the truth you must act on it.
We are only as bound as we choose to be.

Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” ~ John 5:8

Let us not just remember prayer one day a year, but make it a habit to always pray without ceasing.  ~XXOO Michelle Bollom

Rejoice always and delight in your faith; 17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.-1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (AMP)

You Reign – Part 1

Friendly Tip: Beauty for Ashes because You Reign

Earlier this year, I declared victory over my life. I asked for a QUANTUM LEAP. I asked for FAVOR. I asked for COURAGE. I asked for GRACE. I asked for CLARITY. I was being called to move into my next level. I felt as if I would soon experience ELEVATION. I embraced it and remained committed to the process.

I kept hearing “You Reign” and I translated “You Reign” into “We Reign.” At the beginning of the year, I wasn’t clear about my message; but I went with it anyways.

I was led to come from “Behind the Smile.” Behind the Smile, was a series reminding all of us that we do not have to be enslaved to our past. It is also a reminder that we will all experience a moments of feeling hurt, being hurt, or hurting others. This hurt helps us grow as people, it also helps us relate more effectively with others. Thank you for allowing me to relate more with you.

Once I came from “Behind the Smile” it became apparent that I needed to “Bring the Smile.” “Bring the Smile” is my commitment to posting with a purpose- and I gave birth to 11am Smiles. You may follow me on Facebook to get my 11am Smiles. You can find me at Lereca Monik.

Through this, I am learning more about my purpose which is “Beyond my Smile.” “Beyond my Smile” is my WHY for living. I was given a platform to connect and relate to more people, which is beyond me. I think it all started here, as I minister to you, I minister to myself! Our latter will be greater!

Please join me next Monday, as I unveil his promise- my platform. I hope that you will see how your life can be transformed if you declare victory, remain obedient, operate in love, and be willing to do the work.

We were all born for greatness; we are born to be queens and kings- so stop living otherwise! Experience greatness, put your crown on your head, and reclaim your seat on the throne, “We Reign,…You Reign…Let’s Reign together.”

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 61:3 “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting the Lord, that he might be glorified.”

Friendly Activity:

• Make a list of everything from your past that is haunting you.

• Pray over those past pains.

• Make a list of everything you are grateful for (thank GOD out loud for them)

• Make a list of your hidden dreams (Dream Big)

• Ask GOD (out loud) for FAVOR in those area

He will trade your ashes in for beauty, if you chose to find rest in him.

Good Night Friend.

Conquer

Worthy Thought:

If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit at home and think about it.

Pray and then go out and do it.

                       ~Angela Lipe-Pattengill

For I know the plans I have for you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you.

Encouraging Yourself

I love to encourage other people.

I love inspiring others and giving them hope!

I usually find myself encouraging someone if they are struggling with something, or someone that is starting a new business.

In my walk with God I have found that there are times when the one doing the encouraging needs encouragement themselves.

I like to think of myself as one tough (but loving) cookie. But I am not bulletproof! We all face tests, trials, and tribulations of some sort.

King David even had to encourage himself.

In 1 Samuel 30:6 it says, “David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and daughters. But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God.  (Amp. Version)

There are many ways to encourage yourself.

Here are some of the ways that help me:

 I count my Blessings.

 I quote encouraging scriptures.

I listen to an inspiring message.

I think about past tests and trials that the Lord has brought me through.

 I listen to inspiring songs.

 I sing praises to God.

Action step: Listen to the song called In Jesus’ Name by Darlene Zschech below.

I am sure it will lift you up!
