Violation Of The Tongue

It is a violation of the tongues creative design to degrade, denigrate, demean, or destroy.

It is even a violation to excessively express its discontentment and criticism.

The tongue was formed exclusively —or at least, primarily— to bless.

It was given to bless others, and to bless God.

In doing so, it will bless our own selves.

Kind words also produce their image on men’s souls; and a beautiful image it is! ~ Blaise Pascal

We use our tongue to praise God our Father and then turn around and curse a person who was made in His very image! Out of the same mouth we pour out words of praise one minute and curses the next. My brothers and sister, this should never be! —James 3:9-10 TPT

Get Your Feet Wet

Don’t be afraid of the rising tide or fearful of going deeper.

We must stop living a shaky and shallow existence.

We must move into our purposes steadily and deeply.

Begin to take steps of faith.

Get your feet wet.

With each step He calls you to take into the rising waters relax and feel the water lift you and effortlessly carry you along.

With each obedient step you will rise above and will no longer be fighting the currents.

Rest in the flow and rhythm of the Holy Spirit.

You will not drown.

Trust in the One calling you to deeper things.

A New Perspective

Our struggles are often only a product of how we see ourselves.

If you see defeated – that’s how you’ll live.

If you see delivered – that’s how you’ll live.

If you see sick – that’s how you’ll live .

If you see health – that’s how you’ll live.

If you see lack – that’s how you’ll live.

If you see enough – that’s how you’ll live.

What are you seeing? Who are you agreeing with? Who are you believing? What are you confessing?

May today we all get ANew View and start to focus on the powerful promises of God.

Even when it doesn’t look good at the moment… He promises to work ALL things out for our good!

Carry This Knowledge

Love is a great beautifier. ~Louisa May Alcott

Loving and being loved soften the hard edges of life.

No stormy day is really bleak when we share it with a loving friend.

No formidable challenge is too overwhelming when a loved one is nudging us forward, certain of our capacity to succeed.

And the mirror reflects brighter eyes and fewer lines when we carry the knowledge that we’re loved.

Let’s share this knowledge with someone else now and spread the beauty around us.

~ Worthy Of Love / Hazelden

Exclusive Trust

Many of us say that we place our trust in God but when push comes to shove, and suddenly things are not going how we expect them to go, that trust is quickly shifted to other things.

Like our own efforts and striving, the doctors diagnosis, popular opinions, a counselor or friends advice, our finances and resources or more countless alternatives that seem a bit more sure than an unseen God not moving as fast as we think He should.

Relying on false assurances is dangerous.

We must forsake all pride and confidence in other things and our own flesh and trust in God alone.

This type of trust takes great courage but it’s what is required of us.

God promises that when we make Him our exclusive trust we can expect to be Blessed.

Blessed is the one who makes the Lord his trust. ~ Psalm 40:4
