29 years ago (almost to the exact date) I made a horrible choice because I thought I had no other choice.
I was pro-life until that day … I allowed fear to rule my decisions.
A prominent OBGYN was the doctor that performed it. I never could wrap my mind around how he could deliver babies and also kill babies.
I also couldn’t wrap my mind around what I had done and let it haunt me for years.
I lived like the person on this lead stock image – screaming inside with no sound coming out — I kept silent in my shame and secret.
But God! 16 years ago God set me free and shattered my shame and silence.
He restored my soul! Fully!
I never want someone to suffer in silence ever again.
However… God doesn’t ever partner with murder – yet, He does fully forgive those that have chosen that route when they fully repent.
There is healing and hope after abortion. I have a book I wrote to help those still suffering. Abortion is NOT the unforgivable sin. (If that is you – DM me and I will mail you a copy. Also here is the link
If I had not had the choice – I may have chosen differently.
Many that I have counseled and prayed with over the years wished they were never forced or given the opportunity to make this choice.
Murder is not birth control and should never have or be an option.
Today evil was reminded that God ALWAYS wins.
Steadfast Unshaken Still Praying …. And Silent No More
“I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine” Song of Solomon 6:3
The Song of Solomon
A love story. A story about passion. A story about love at first sight.
A young Shulamite woman worked in the vineyards of Solomon, and then one day He set eyes upon her. It was love at first sight. It was passion, commitment, and adoration.
This is the story of Solomon and the Shulamite Women. This is also the story of Jesus and Israel. This is also the story of Jesus and the church. This is also the story of Jesus and you. This is also the story of Jesus and me.
This is a deep, beautiful, intricate, detailed, love story. Just like a diamond – it has many facets and many sides.
“You have dove’s eyes” – and then further on it says, “You have ravished my heart with one look of your eyes” (Sol.4:9).
Think about that for a moment.
Jesus is overwhelmed with emotion by a believer who gazes upon Him. Just one look in His direction fills Him with emotion!
Intimacy. True intimacy.
The purpose of both creation and redemption is that we might have a deep, beautiful, intimate relationship with our Messiah. Our King. Our Lord.
That is the purpose of my life, and then everything else flows from that place.
Last night in prayer I had an encounter Him. He reminded me that he wants to be face to face. Heart to heart. Breath to breath.
He’s not far off. He’s not a lover in a distant land. I don’t need to pine away as if He’s on the other side of eternity. He’s right here. He’s right now.
He’s tangible. He calls me higher. He wants me seated with Him now, not later.
One of the things the King says to His beloved is, ‘You have dove’s eyes’ (Sol.1:15).
“Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes.” Song of Solomon 1:15 “His eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.”
Doves Eyes.
Why doves eyes?
A doves eyes are sharp and piercing. They’re laser focused. But the most interesting of all – they have no peripheral vision. Their focus is on one object. Dove’s eyes have fixed field focus; they can only focus on one thing at a time. Once they find a mate, a love, their eyes are solely fixed on him. Once a dove sees something that captures its attention its eyes are trained on that object. It is undistracted from its focal point.
Laser vision. Fixed on him.
This love story isn’t one way. This love story is reciprocal.
Jesus love is laser focused on us. We are to be laser focused on Him.
His focus is not on our surroundings or circumstances. His focus is on you.
You.
His focus is on who He called you to be. On who He said that you are. His focus is on His beloved.
You are His beloved.
He doesn’t sway. He doesn’t change His mind. He love isnt fractured or conditional.
He loves you. He loves you passionately. He wants to care and comfort you. He wants to heal and provide for you.
He loves you so much, that He died to retrieve you.
Read That Again
Therefore, shouldn’t our eyes be that of a dove towards him? I will not look to the right, or to the left. My eyes are fixed on Him.
No matter what goes on in this world around us, we stay focused on HIM.
To be so fixed on Him, that nothing around me matters.
Not politics Not finances Not food shortages Not gas prices Not health concerns
None of it.
He has me. He adores me. He calls me His beloved. He abides. I remain. His eyes are fixed on me. My eyes are fixed on Him.
