All Is Well

I was in the kitchen cooking the other day and as the radio shuffled through several songs, and this one struck me.

As I listened to these words I was filled with such immense gratitude that at this very moment I indeed did feel that “All Is Well” with my soul.

As someone that lived many years with my soul in turmoil and not realizing it was so fragmented, I was anything but well. I had experienced so much fracturing in my life. (You can find my Broken Girl Story for all the details in our Blog Archives)

As the song played I found myself reflecting back on how far Jesus has brought me. I thought of the shame and secrets of my past that had kept me in bondage.

I thought of the trials and losses in my life that almost shattered me. I was overcome with such emotion as I thought about my life and my story.

I felt more peace than I had ever known. I thought about where I have been and where I was today. I stood in awe thinking how beautifully God has written my story as I learned to hand over all the brokenness to Him. He is the Great Restorer!

The Bridge of the song came on and one thing I know now for sure is: Through it all our eyes have to be on God only to get us through each trial we will face.

Close your eyes and sing these words with the song: “So let go my soul and trust in Him. The waves and wind still know His name” And declare “It Is Well … With My Soul.”

Sing or play the song over and over until you start to feel His Presence fill and repair every fragmented and broken part of your soul.

Lyrics:

“It Is Well” by Bethel

Verse 1

Grander earth has quaked before

Moved by the sound of His voice

Seas that are shaken and stirred

Can be calmed and broken for my regard

Chorus

Through it all, through it all

My eyes are on You

Through it all, through it all

It is well

Through it all, through it all

My eyes are on You

It is well with me

Verse 2

Far be it from me to not believe

Even when my eyes can’t see

And this mountain that’s in front of me

Will be thrown into the midst of the sea

Bridge

So let go my soul and trust in Him

The waves and wind still know His name

It is well with my soul

It is well with my soul

It is well with my soul

It is well with my soul
