Move Mountains With Your Mouth

“Listen to the truth I speak to you: If someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done.” – Mark 11:23, TPT

Lately, I’ve had more of a fire in my bones than ever when it comes to MOVING MOUNTAINS with my declarations.  It’s been a long journey with much practice and on-going understanding, but I am finally realizing what an absolute weapon my tongue is when I decree something and see it shift.

I know that I teach on this often, and I have written about it in the past, but I feel the Lord is placing an urgency in this hour on His people learning to decree things aloud with their mouths.

Especially in 2020, the “year of the mouth,” when the enemy came and made certain there would be masks covering mouths while others are fighting off the spirit of intimidation which has been assigned to keep them silent.  I am feeling strongly that we MUST make heavenly declarations.  When we decree what Heaven is saying, supernatural answers are released.

Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’” – Zechariah 4:6-7

I read this verse today, and I almost leapt out of my skin!

Zerubbabel was a guy that carried authority.  He was an influential leader hired to help build the foundation of the temple.  And Zerubbabel KNEW the authority that he carried.  Just look at what he says: “Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain.”

I love that he challenged the mountain, and told it what its future would hold!  I love that Zerubbabel grabbed ahold of his authority, knowing that it was by the grace of God and the Spirit of the Lord that he had the authority he had.

Mountains do indeed move with that kind of understanding and authority in action.

What a challenge in my Spirit this scripture brings.  As daughters and sons of the Lord of hosts, we have the same authority that Jesus has because He gave it to us.  We are powerful, influential leaders building upon the foundations of those who have gone before us to build the amazing kingdom of God on earth.

Like Zerubbabel, we can speak to the mountain, reminding it who WE are and tell it to MOVE, in Jesus Name!

You and I have the authority to tell every mountain to GO.  We can level mountains with our decrees.  We can use our tongues to speak BREAKTHROUGH and life over every situation.  We can speak TO the mountain, instead of ongoing chatter ABOUT the mountain.

Children of God carry authority to move mountains, period.

May we be the people to KNOW the Word, HEAR from the heart of the Father and DECREE TRUTH to the mountains in our lives and see them LEVELED TO THE GROUND, in the Name of Jesus!

Decree with me now:

Mountain, you must MOVE in the Name of Jesus!  Who do you think you are, Oh Mountain?  Before [insert your name here], you shall become a PLAIN!

  1. Thank you. I found myself straight decreeing and declaring straight fter reading the scriptures. What a blessing you are to the body of Christ. Shalom Edith

  2. For me, 2020 is the year for clarity … 20/20 vision … SEE me walk the talk. May my mouth declare the intentions and my actions create the clearly visible example of those Christ-like intentions lived out! Have a beautiful day, {{{Donna}}} 🥰
