Without a doubt, there is a lot wrong with this world, a lot right in God’s response to mankind, and a lot of responsibility that falls on us to partner with Our God as he rises to meet every challenge that presents itself.
Our responsibility begins and ends with our making ourselves available to be his vessels as he accomplishes his work. We don’t need to have the blueprint of his plan or the resources to see the work through to completion; we just need to make sure that we are his—body, soul, and spirit.
Living like this is difficult, but it eliminates a lot of anxiety and stress. We are freed to focus on just one thing and leave to God the outcomes of individual challenges.
We don’t have to be the judges of what is right and wrong; we can just sit at Our Savior’s feet, and he will disclose to us everything that we need to know in order for us to emerge triumphant in every day’s challenges. As we trust in him, he will rebuke our adversaries, strengthen us for our battles, and make every rough way smooth. He becomes our responsibility, not the myriad clamoring voices vying for our attention.
Right, wrong, and responsibility.
Blessed is the man, woman, or child that learns the difference between these things. As it is written: “Let God be true and every man a liar” – Romans 3:4. This simply says that God is faithful regardless of man’s response to him. Let us make sure that he finds us faithful, for if we will, there is no limit to what he will do on our behalf.
Our responsibility in life may be limited in scope, but not in value.
Our Father sees our faithfulness as immeasurably precious. We can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us—Philippians 4:13.
