Security

If you looked at the title, I’m sure you know where my thoughts are headed in this blog. It isn’t difficult to realize that in the days we are facing, security is important.

Our family is facing interesting moments because of living overseas, and the travel my husband and I have done. I am thankful I believe in a God Who is in control of all things and knows all things!

Exodus 19:5 Now if you will pay careful attention to what I say and keep my covenant, then you will be my own treasure from among all the peoples, for all the earth is mine;

This verse is SECURITY! “YOU will be my own treasure…” IF you PAY CAREFUL attention to what I say and KEEP my covenant!

There is something we must DO in order to find security!

Romans 8:35-37 Who will separate us from the love of the Messiah? Trouble? Hardship? Persecution? Hunger? Poverty? Danger? War? As the Tanakh puts it, “For your sake we are being put to death all day long, we are considered sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are superconquerors, through the one who has loved us.

These verses should also help us have security. The troubles of this world are NEVER going to separate us from HIS LOVE! YOU are a CONQUEROR because HE LOVES YOU!

On March 1 I traveled to Ukraine for some meetings about the work we are beginning with youth who are in transition. Our flight landed and someone came on the plane and required that we all have our temperature taken in case we might be “infected.” The gentleman next to me and I struck up a conversation. My thought was, “It’s a little late now! If someone has a temperature, we have all been exposed and will all go into quarantine! They should have done this before we left the airport in Cyprus.” The gentleman next to me said, “A step before that, they should have checked everyone entering the airport in Cyprus and not allowed anyone in that had a temperature. That would have prevented even more possible scenarios.”

Did I feel secure after they shot a thermometer at my forehead? No, not really. I knew that if someone was a carrier on the flight I would have already been exposed to the virus. Did I feel secure walking around Ukraine, or even since I have returned to Cyprus? No, not really. At this point I have been in so many places that anything could have happened. Cyprus is now “shut down.” Only “essential stores” (supermarkets, pharmacies, gas stations…) are open. All malls, sports venues, coffee shops etc… are closed for four weeks. They are limiting who enters the country and require everyone (even citizens) to have a certificate stating they are not infected with the virus.

Living in Israel as long as we did, people always asked me if I felt secure. They wanted to know if it was safe to visit. Knowing that rockets could fly over, or a suicide bombing attempt could occur, was always something friends and family were concerned about for us. I learned to respond that I always felt safest when I knew that God wanted me somewhere. If He wanted me in Israel, than I was safe no matter what happened. If He wanted me in the US, than I was safer to be there.

I also know, because of my faith in HIM, that no matter what happens, life or death, I am SAFE and SECURE because HE is in control.

We live in days and times that safety and security seem to be non-existent. We never truly know what will happen next. It is definitely time that we find our security and safety in the One Who created us and watches over us. It is definitely time that we SEEK what HE wants from us and we ACT as HE wants us to act. It is TIME for us to LISTEN to His Spirit and follow HIS leading, no matter what it is that He asks us to do.

A friend of mine told me today that she and her husband made some choices this year others questioned, but they knew God had asked them to do these things. She felt like Noah because of it. I have felt the same way so many times. Noah was so mis-understood and laughed at. We don’t know anything about his wife, but I’m sure she was ridiculed as well. And yet, his family was the one that was kept safe when the flood came.

In these days and times, what are you WILLING to DO in order to FOLLOW God’s commands? What ridicule are you willing to face in order to OBEY what God requires of you?

According to ALL the verses in the Bible about finding security and being kept safe, we MUST TRUST Him and OBEY Him. Not always the easiest to do when everyone around you is in panic mode. Not always the easiest to do when the world is going a little bit crazy and you “go against the flow.”

The one thing I am certain of, IF we are listening to HIS SPIRIT, than we have no reason to fear and we can find SECURITY. IF we are doing our best to OBEY HIS commands, than HE is our security. It all requires FAITH, HOPE, and then we LOVE with HIS love and bring security to those around us.

I urge you today to find your security in HIM and bring that security to those around you.

Hope Roars

How does the world define HOPE?

Hope –  to cherish a desire with anticipation : to want something to happen or be true; to desire with expectation of obtainment or fulfillment; archaic : trust, reliance (Merriam-Webster online).

The Bible is the REALITY of every born-again child of God, and it defines and refers to HOPE as SO MUCH MORE than what the world suggests.  Any roaring voice who truly speaks the heart of the Father and lives under the New Covenant of Jesus will understand that we are carriers of HOPE because we are carriers of Jesus Himself.  As citizens of Heaven (Philippians 3:20) and as those who are seated with Christ Himself (Ephesians 2:6), we actually carry the authority and the ability to remain far ABOVE fear and hopelessness.  Our reality is a greater one because of who we are in Christ.  We must not completely hide ourselves away from what is happening in this Earthly reality, but we have the absolute privilege of ROARING HOPE over Earth, even if it means standing in the face of a spirit of fear.

I heard the Lord say recently that it’s time for us to ROAR with HOPE again.  Especially during this hour where so many are afraid.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind”

– 2 Timothy 1:7

“…for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” – 1 John 4:4

I love that truth, that you and I get the absolute honor of getting to ROAR HOPE over the Earth.

WHY HOPE

In prayer, the Lord gave me the following points and scriptures to build a case for HOPE to stir up the ROAR within each voice of HOPE that reads this.

1. There is a great AWAKENING happening across the globe at the moment.  The Bride is getting into position for the greatest harvest of souls and the most Heavenly outpouring of the Holy Ghost that we have ever known! True to his usual character, the backlash of the enemy is fear and intimidation.

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick…” (Proverbs 13:12).  The Lord showed me that His will for the Bride involved hearts that are FULLY ALIVE, FULLY AWAKE, and FULL OF RESURRECTION LIFE!

The enemy will always twist and try to do the opposite of God’s will, which in this case means causing hearts to grow “sick” rather than fully awake and alive with promise.

The voices of HOPE must arise in this hour to ROAR HOPE and LIFE over the fearful, sick hearts.  We ROAR “no more delay,” and we say NO to the spirit of fear!

2. HOPE does not disappoint. We can hold onto it with all our strength because of the love of God poured out into our hearts.  HOPE BRINGS LIFE, and we can rejoice in hard times because the HOPE of the Holy Spirit that was given to us.

Romans 5:3-5: “And not only this, but]we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

3. HOPE anchors the soul to God’s Word!  Anchor – a reliable or principal support; something that serves to hold an object firmly (Merriam-Webster online).  It keeps our emotions and thoughts firmly supported and held in TRUTH.  Hebrews 6:19: “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil…”

4. HOPE keeps us safely tethered to God, our stronghold. Zechariah 9:12: “Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; This very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you.”  The word HOPE here in the Hebrew is the word tiqvah (S8615), which literally means a cord that tethers you to something (also refers to an expectation).  The word stronghold is bitstsarown (S1225), which means a fortress or a fortified place.  Psalm 18:2 calls GOD our fortress and deliverer, and Psalm 46:1-3 also calls God our stronghold.

5. We have HOPE because our lives are now HIDDEN with Christ.  We can fix our thoughts on higher realities of VICTORY and RESURRECTION because we are hidden.

Colossians 3:1-4: “Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.”

NO MORE FEAR

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” – 1 John 4:18

You are made perfect in love because of Love Himself.  May you begin to press deeper and deeper into His perfect Love, so that all fear is cast out.  May you see His face in new ways, and be delivered from all fears and shame as you begin to shine with His radiance (Psalm 34:4-5).

I pray that the living and active Word of God begins to take deeper root within you (Hebrews 4:12), and that you join me in ROARING HOPE over the nations.  This is the hour for the HOPE VOICES to arise and ROAR! Greater is He who lives in us than he that is in the world, and we know that the Spirit of God has empowered us and given us love and a sound mind.

Regardless of the darkness we may see in the world, “a Light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it” – John 1:5

AND DON’T FORGET TO ROAR!

Pain

You can not control the outcome
You can not expect others to control it either
Step out and look around
What do you see
Turn and look at you
What do you see

Can you truly fix another
Have you fixed you
Have you called on Me
Have you repented of years of abuse to yourself
Have you truly seen what effect you have had on others good or bad and repented of that as well

Have you forgiven yourself
Have you forgiven others for the mistakes they made while they too sinned
Can you truly fight the battles alone
How long will you continue to do this
You thinking you are alone

Do you not know I am here
Do you not know that many battles are won behind your naked eye
If I truly let you see the battles would you believe then
Why is faith so hard
Why is believing in Me so hard

Do you not believe your car will start
Do you not believe in your Job being there
Do you not believe in visiting a loved one and them to be there
Do you not believe the food will be at home when you return
Do you not believe you have clothes to wear
Do you not believe there is water to bathe
Do you not believe in the air you breath
Do you not believe in the sun the light I have given you
Do you believe yet that I do provide

Do the birds worry where they will find food
Do the animals fret over things
Have you not figured out yet that all things are given when asked but as a father some things not.

Can you not see that, I SEE
Your tears
Your heart
Your pleading
Your Love
Your lack of Love
Your emotions
Your thoughts
Your every day actions
Nothing is unseen
Nothing goes unnoticed

Child My Love For You Is More Than You Can Imagine… Rest, put your cares and worries into my hands step back stop trying to control. Faith, Believe, Love

Most of all Trust In Me

What If ?

Do you ever have “what if’s” pop into your mind?

Recently the devil tried his hardest to keep me from the Father’s loving embrace by causing feelings of insecurity and inferiority to come at me. “What if I don’t fit in when we get to Australia? What if I’m left out? What if…what if…what if….

UUUUUGH. What a punk.

I knew the Holy Spirit was telling me that these thoughts were indeed incorrect, but the devil took it one step further by trying to convince me that something was indeed wrong with me for feeling anxious, insecure and nervous about the future.
