Releasing The Sound

My bride will be distinguished

by the sound she releases in

this hour

When you go through the

processes of life

your unique sound is developing

The obedient, set apart sons

and daughters will birth an authentic sound into the earth

That will bring visible change wherever they tread

The more you are yielded

and die to self

The more anointed the sound

your release will be

This end time sound will be despised by the religious,

but embraced by the hungry, desperate remnant bride

Who made many private and secret sacrifices for the Kingdom of God

It will be a sound true to Father’s

nature and character

A sound that will represent

your unique journey of faith and clinging to Father

It did not come easy

there was a high price tag attached to releasing it

No one can copy your sound

The frequencies sent into

the atmosphere when you

open your mouth

No one walked your journey

No one tasted your pain

No one can release the sound

that you contended for

Satan knew the anointing attached to the sound that you will release

It will break bondages,

bring restoration,

set many captives free

That is why the battles and attacks to stop you from entering the promised land were so fierce

No one would be able to ignore

this new sound

As it will be like a two edged sword piercing through every religious structure, breaking bondages and bringing many hurting and broken souls into the Kingdom of God

Many copy what

they hear others say

They didn’t labour and pay

the high price to birth revelation

and breakthrough unique to their journey

My anointing is expensive

the fruit of the sound that flows from your mouth will

be a weighty, authentic, yoke breaking sound

My anointing won’t be

attached to every sound that

is released

Be careful and discerning

to whose sounds you attach yourself with

When it’s a borrowed, copied sound it will only be knowledge caught on the way, it won’t carry the weight to break bondages and set captives free

When you open your mouth

People will know that you

have been with Jesus and that cannot be copied

My authentic sound will be released through many avenues and spheres in this hour

Especially through the unknown,

the no names, the looked down upon one’s

Worshipers, writers, dancers, artists, speakers, prayer warriors, the housewife’s, will arise and release the sound of heaven to a broken and hurting world

Many are waiting to be touched

and transformed by My glory working through you.

Releasing The Sound

The Journey

Spirit Lead Me

I love these lyrics to this weeks #SongSunday ….

If You say “it’s wrong”,

then I’ll say “no”

If You say “release”, I’m letting go

If You’re in it with me, I’ll begin

And when You say to jump,

I’m diving in

If You say “be still”, then I will wait

If You say to trust, I will obey

I don’t wanna follow my own ways

I’m done chasing feelings

Spirit lead me ….

Song is “Spirit Lead Me” by Michael Ketterer & Influence Music –

Anyone else sometimes feel like the lead image when seeing so many opinions, opinions, opinions?

Here are some of my favorite quotes on opinions.

Patterning your life around other’s opinions is nothing more than slavery. ~Lawana Blackwell

Your opinion is your opinion, your perception is your perception–do not confuse them with “facts” or “truth”. ~Unknown

Wars have been fought and millions have been killed because of the inability of men to understand the idea that EVERYBODY has a different viewpoint. ~John Moore

The greatest deception which men incur proceeds from their opinions.~Leoardo Da Vinci

We must always think about things, and we must think about things as they are, not as they are said to be. ~George Bernard Shaw

Opinions are like buttholes-everybody has one. ~Charles “PoPo” Cosby aka-My Daddy

Chanukah Patience

On the third night of Chanukah the “Love” candle lights Joy, than Peace and now PATIENCE…

The word patience usually stirs up lots of emotions in people. Most parents are constantly telling their young children, “just be patient.” As adults we struggle when things don’t happen right away and we often get impatient. As a society, we constantly want something and want it instantly. As a society, we often supply things pretty instantly as well.

Today, as I sat down to type this, I struggled with patience myself. Interesting that God always places things in our lives and has ways of forcing us to think about our actions. Once again we need to look at what the Word of God says and ask Him what HE wants us to learn.

Proverbs 15:18 Hot-tempered people stir up strife, but patient people quiet quarrels. (CJB)

Psalm 37:7 Be still before Adonai; wait patiently till he comes. Don’t be upset by those whose way succeeds because of their wicked plans. (CJB)

There are not too many Bible verses in the Old Testament that use the word patience. These two are clear that patience is a virtue God wants us to have. If “hot-tempered people stir up strife,” that would obviously be something we should get rid of. We should not answer with a temper. We should be patient and quiet a quarrel.

David teaches us in the Psalm that we must “wait patiently” until Adonai returns. I know that you can read this clearly for yourself, but really stop and reflect on those words today… What does that mean? My initial response is that it means not to complain about what is happening currently in my life.

It says, “Don’t be upset if others succeed in wicked plans.” I admit, I struggle with this. It is hard to watch when people who are not trusting God have plans that move forward and the plans you believe God has given you seem to be stalemate.

As I reflected on this verse, and the fact that the word patience is not in the Old Testament too often, Holy Spirit reminded me of all the people in the Old Testament who had to wait. He brought to my mind all the people that had terrible things happen to them, and because they did not stop trusting, things came to pass later. All of these people had to have PATIENCE!

We can all name these people… Joseph, Job, David, Hannah, Ruth, Daniel etc… the list is LONG. People in history, that we can reflect on, that should encourage us to BELIEVE that PATIENCE is a virtue we should have!

The New Testament has many verses about patience… Here are a few that are common, but great reminders as we reflect on how Adonai wants us to act.

Ephesians 4:2

Always be humble, gentle and patient, bearing with one another in love, (CJB)

Romans 12:12

Rejoice in your hope, be patient in your troubles, and continue steadfastly in prayer. (CJB)

James 5:8

You too, be patient; keep up your courage; for the Lord’s return is near. (CJB)

I admit to being very scattered in my thoughts tonight as I write this. I know that the thoughts I write here today are not profound or new. My prayer is, that as you reflect on the word “patience,” you TRUST and BELIEVE that God has GOOD THINGS in store for you. That as you READ His Word, CLAIM IT as TRUTH for your life, and continue in FAITH with ALL that He asks you to do, that your PATIENCE will be rewarded.

As we continue to move towards Chanukah, reflect on being a LIGHT for Him by showing PATIENCE to those around you. When you face difficult situations and circumstances, STOP and reflect on ALL He has done for you. Find a way to be PATIENT in the midst of it and let HIM handle it all.

Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven. (CJB)

May you find a way to be “patient in your troubles” this week. May you “keep up your courage.” May you “rejoice in your hope” and pray. Always be humble. Be gentle. THESE virtues will help you have PATIENCE!

Love & Blessings,

Rose Horton

Washing Feet

I can’t seem to get out of the books of John and 1 John.  Every time I think I can move on to something else in the New Testament, I find myself at those books yet again.  I can’t get enough of them, and I always find new revelation in them even after having read them 5 times in a week.

Recently I was in John 13 again; the part where Jesus washes His disciples’ feet.  I’ve always been blown away by the fact that Jesus chose to wash the feet of Judas, although He knew that Judas would betray Him.  I’m also touched by the end of verse one, which says that Jesus “…loved them to the end.”  So poetic.  But this time, I couldn’t escape how Jesus was serving His friends.

Back in this time period, the feet of those men were incredibly dirty.  2,000ish years ago, men didn’t have Nike or Kenneth Cole.  There wasn’t a lineup of Van’s at the front door, and even Billabong flip-flops were non-existent. These were the days where men wore sandals and/or walked barefoot.  These guys probably walked A LOT and I’m not entirely sure there was lovely, lush, green grass in that part of the world to be able to rub feet on.

Having noted all of this, we know that there is, of course, a great deal of symbolism and meaning behind what Jesus did and why. I started pondering what feet washing would look like in today’s culture, today’s society and amongst my own friends.  I couldn’t help but feel like there was more meaning to this than what I’ve always been taught.

I’m still seeking Holy Spirit on it (because Jeremiah 33:3 says that if we go to Him, He will answer us and tell us great and mighty things that we do not know), but I believe that He challenged me on a few thoughts on how we can identify with foot washing today in the world of Nike and Jimmy Choo.

Firstly – and most obviously – washing someone’s feet is a sign of true humility and service.  To be honest, this thought speaks for itself.  In Jewish culture, as a host, it was a sign of great honor and respect to wash the feet of one’s guest.(see more at the link at the end)

This act took time, energy, and getting on an incredibly dirty floor to touch perhaps even more horribly dirty feet.  Sometimes serving others means getting a little uncomfortable and dirty ourselves, but as we know there is so much power in this prophetic act.  And…it transforms lives (theirs, as well as your own).

Secondly, God really challenged me to see that “washing feet” today looks like washing off the effects of the journey for another person. Raise your hand if you know that LIFE CAN BE HARD!  Sometimes, the residue of trauma and pain can be so difficult to navigate for a person, and the enemy’s greatest tactic is to keep people isolated and in shame.  Yet an understanding of foot washing is an invitation to come alongside others and help them feel clean and free from what they picked up on the journey.  What a powerful testimony for us as believers to be able to do this for one another.

Romans 12:10 in The Passion Translation says the following, “Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as members of one family. Try to outdo yourselves in respect and honor of one another.”  What if outdoing one another in respect and honor looked like constantly SERVING one another, and helping each other clean off the “dust” from the difficult journeys in life?  What if foot washing looks more like being a FRIEND to the lonely and an encouragement to the downhearted?

What would the world – and the Church – look like if we lived a life that was marked by “foot washing” and honor?

I know what MY sphere of influence could look like…anyone else want to join me?

Present Moments

Worthy Thought: Use your time more wisely.

You can genuinely enjoy life and have a full schedule.

But sometimes, we tend to overcommit our capacity.

Then our busy life turns into many hours of blur.

We need to focus our attention on the present moments of the here and now.

Look up to Jesus and know the gift of life is in the present.

Hold on to Him dearly.

Jesus is always present, the same yesterday, today and forever.

-Psalm 90:12

Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should.

We Fight From A Position Of Rest

As the journey continues

We are entering a new place

of quietness and rest

A place where words

are unnecessary

A place of contentment

Where we know that everything

will work together for our good

Here our hearts beat in

rhythm with Father’s

Completely yielded

As we go lower still

Knowing that when the time

is right, Father’s promises for us

will come into fulfilment

We entered the wilderness

carrying a heavy load

Of issues not dealt with

Our hearts were laid bare

Our deepest pain were uncovered

Our wounds were healed

Generational curses were

dealt with

We laid everything down blocking our growth

Every part of our heart

was dealt with,

for Father to move in

This was our most fruitful season of healing, growth and awakening

Many new beginnings were

birthed when we dealt with our pain

We came to this wide open place

of Papa’s perfect rest

Unknowingly we yearned

and desperately needed this place

An oasis found by the

desperate one’s

Where we drink of His waters unending

Never to be thirsty again

Papa knew that our journeys

would bring us to this wide open place in Him

Where we would awaken to higher levels of spiritual revelation in

this hour

A new place where we are

One with Love

An integral part of our destination

We cannot progress with

hate in our hearts

We bless our enemies

We thank them for training

us and catapulting us into

our destinies

Weren’t it for them, we never would have healed and known the depth of Papa’s heart for His bride

We live from a place deep within

Prepared over the years of dwelling with Him

This is the seventh day

for many I hear Father say

A place of contentment, completeness, spiritual perfection

and perfect rest

Where Papa quiets His bride with His all consuming Love

A place found by few

Love our habitation

The air we breath

We are protected from the attacks

of the enemy

Trained on the

front line

Every agenda of satan

had its purpose

The bride of Christ is

fearless and bold

We fight from a position of rest

What was sent to harm us

Was a set up to launch us

into our destinies

The seventh day is here

When the time is right everything will fall into place!

~Isaiah 60: 22~  When the time is right I, the Lord will make it happen!
