That Clinches It!

4 years ago I was in a tough season. I felt like a boxer getting that uppercut or left hook out of nowhere and I was teetering big time. I was spent and tired and told God I needed a word or I wanted to quit.

I did the ole Bible flip – not gonna lie … and as I released it opened to this verse.

“That clinches it—help’s coming,

an answer’s on the way,

everything’s going to work out.”

~Psalm 20:6 MSG

So I want to encourage you.

Keep Your Focus – The Shift Is Here

I have an excitement in my spirit for what Papa is about to do in this season.

Papa has really done a deep work in our hearts, the scalpel went in deep to get rid of everything that might hinder us in the future.

Where Papa is taking us, our character, fruit and motives will expose us if we didn’t go through the process.

Hearts and character training will be swift if we surrender to the process, lean into Him and spend time in the secret place.

A few days ago we had a challenge in our family. One moment we were still hurt and shocked, but the next moment, I felt something stirring within my belly and right there my flesh collided with Holy Spirit and Father did a swift work in not only me, but our family.

Things that we have been struggling with for years, Papa will deal with quickly, because He knows our desire is to change and be more like Him.

He has also been speaking to me that many of His sons and daughters feel that they have missed His visitation and promises in previous seasons.

Many feel they are no longer on Papa’s time schedule because of the detours they took or mistakes they have made.

He wants you to know that you are right where you are supposed to be.

Every mistake, ever hindrance, every attack, won’t stop His promises and dreams for you.

You are so close, keep your focus. This is a season of acceleration and suddenlies.

In a vision I saw how we’re on our journeys, dressed in rags, tired, at the end of ourselves at times, but then without us knowing Papa would pick us up, caress and kiss our faces, then put us down to complete our journey.

I believe it’s in these times that Papa imparts His strength and joy within us to walk out our journeys in the midst of our trials and brokenness.

Father is also revealing secrets to us through dreams, visions and prophetic words, this is to help us to stay on course and to keep our focus, in the midst of the enemy raging.

We already know what the outcome will be, so rest in Papa, while He fights your battles.

His thoughts are higher then ours. Papa will bring us to the place of birthing if we are led by His spirit.

May the joy of the Lord be your strength as you walk through the last stretch of your wilderness.

Father is cheering us on, not to give up because He knows we were obedient and faithful in the midst of our pain and struggles.

He is so proud of His remnant, set apart bride that didn’t give in under the pressure and persecution of their enemies.

Keep your focus, let Papa be your place of rest, the shift is here!

Romans 8:14

For all who are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Nehemiah 8:10

The joy of the Lord is my strength.

Keep Your Focus – The Shift Is Here

My Awakening

Stuck inside a house I built…

Locked the doors and closed the shutters…

With no strength left to cry for help

I hid in bed under the covers

Stuck inside a shade of blue

Sadness was my only comfort

I didn’t know that only You

Could fill my world with all the colors…

This is my awakening

That while my heart was fast asleep

You were resurrecting me

I thought that I would never breathe

I thought the pain would never leave

But You’re redeeming everything

Now there’s a dawn at every turn

You speak to me in new beginnings

A ray of sun to heal the hurt

The music stops but You’re still singing

This is my awakening

That while my heart was fast asleep

You were resurrecting me

I thought that I would never breathe

I thought the pain would never leave

But You’re redeeming everything

Everything, everything

Mmm mmm mmm mmm

Mmm mmm mmm mmm

Oh oh oh

Oh oh oh

Oh oh oh

Oh oh oh

This is my awakening

I’m never going back to sleep

How could I after what I’ve seen

This is my awakening

There’s color now in everything

Color now in everything

This is my awakening

I’m never going back to sleep

How could I after what I’ve seen

This is my awakening

There’s color now in everything

Color now in everything…

What Kind Of Friends Do You Have?

What kind of friends do you have?

Are they people who complain or criticize a lot?

Are they people who make fun of laugh at us, gossip or put others down?

Are they flaky or are they faithful?

Are they people that live with no boundaries or moral codes and tempt you to constantly compromise? Or become a lower version of yourself? Or make you feel bad about yourself?

The kind of people we want to be will decide what kind of friends we have.

You are who you hang out with.

My daddy had a crude but true saying: “You can’t hang around 💩 poop and not expect to start smelling.”

If we want to feel sorry for ourselves, we will choose friends who will tell us how right we are and let us complain and stay stuck in self-pity or a victim mentality.

If we want to think we’re better than others, we will hang around people who laugh at and judge or gossip about others’ and think they are entitled and always justified in doing so.

If we want to be validated or feel better in our sins and shortcomings we will surround ourselves with people that have no boundaries or problem entertaining that which cheapens them.

But if we want to be the best we can be, we will pick friends who see the good in life and the good in all people. Those who will pray and encourage us to be uniquely ourselves and who will help us try harder at things that are difficult for us. Those who sharpen us on those days we are getting dull and falling short of God’s glorious standards or best for us.

Those people that don’t compete or envy and speak truth in love when we are buying lies. They don’t talk behind our backs, share our confidences with others, and always want the best for us even when we don’t see the best for ourselves in the moment.

I want to be that kind of friend.

I want to have those types of friends.

“Divine Connections”

Divinely Connected by God.

Keeping Christ first and center always. Setting each other up for success. Celebrating each other.

Crying with each other.

Holding hands up when they can’t lift them for themselves.

No pretense – no envy – no junk or gunk. No exclusion or cliques or fake and phony stuff.

Those to call me out and those that are willing to hear the hard stuff too so we can snatch others and ourselves out of isolation and darkness and bondage when we need to.

How about you?

Take an inventory of the 5 closest people in your life. What are their strengths and weaknesses.

What do you think of the moment you think of them?

Do you feel at peace and uplifted and encouraged and don’t think of having to change how you look or act before you see them?

Or are you having to feel like you must alter your authentic self in certain ways before you can be around them and have to weigh every word?

Somethings to think on today …

Turn Your Back On Worry

May you have the faith to cast your cares upon Jesus.

May you truly believe that He cares deeply for you.

May you have the grit to turn your back on worry and the holy growl to put fear under your feet.

May you embrace the peace that God provides and walk in the grace that He freely offers you.

May you believe that His promises are true for you.

You’re someone He loves.

Travel light today.

Sleep well tonight.

Nightmares

brutal,

terrifyingly realistic

as I wake up calling out

someone’s name

in sheer panic

cause my dream

says they’re dead

while in fact they’re still

asleep in bed;

it’s 4am and I am

crying uncontrollably

cause I’m telling you

I now am confused,

is my dream reality

and my reality a dream…

I get mixed up

and it takes me awhile

to realize what’s real,

to calm myself down…

I am grieving a loss

that hasn’t happened;

my dream points to

intruder,

gun,

victim,

but reality is ok

although I don’t know

what’s real and

what’s not;

I’ve gotten to the point

where I dread sleep

cause I know my fears

will bleed me awake

Nightmares

Our Flesh Crucified

Oh how many times have

I begged Papa to take my

bitter cup away

I wished for a normal life

With no ups and downs

No trials and tribulations

Oh how I wished I could

just cruise through life!

I envied other women’s journeys

With no major storms

No time spent in the furnace

No demons to fight

Many cruise through life

While it seems like I am

always in a battle

Or just exiting one

Looking back I am glad

Papa ignored my plight

Through my painful journey

I discovered my purpose

I gleaned and grew from

every dark time

Papa used my enemies

to train me

To form His heart and character within me

Papa’s plans are only to

prosper us

Never to harm us

The wilderness can be

our most fruitful time

Only when we surrender

to the process

We lean into Papa

Seek His presence

Even when the attacks

rage around us

We live from our spirit

Where deep only follows

the voice of Deep

Our flesh crucified

We know our lives are safe

in His hands

Papa will bring us to the

place of birthing every dream

He has for us!!!

Our challenging journeys

might seem hard and endless

When we think we have

arrived

Papa says no, there’s more

to learn

More idols to let go of

Till our hearts are healed

And Papa’s presence is embedded in us

We look through different lenses

at life

We are thankful for each

dark time, each enemy

Valuable lessons were learned

We paid each price Papa

asked of us

To give birth to yoke breaking testimonies

The wilderness builds our faith in unimaginable ways

Every person powerfully used

by God

Had to go through the pit, palace and prison

Till we pass every character and heart test

Till we can say “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for my good!!!”
