The Fruit Produced Is Divine Love

As you yield freely and fully to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self – life.

For your self – life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit and hinder him from living free within you! And the Holy Spirit’s intense cravings hinder your old self – life from dominating you!

So then, the two incompatible and conflicting forces within you are your self – life of the flesh and the new creation life of the Spirit. But when you are brought into the full freedom of the Spirit of grace, you will no longer be living under the domination of the law, but soaring above it!

The cravings of the self-life are obvious: Sexual immorality, lustful thoughts, pornography, chasing after things instead of God, manipulating others, hatred of those who get in your way, senseless arguments, resentment when others are favored, temper tantrums, angry quarrels, only thinking of yourself, being in love with your own opinions, being envious of the blessings of others, murder, uncontrolled addictions, wild parties, and all other similar behavior.

Haven’t I already warned you that those who use their “freedom” for these things will not inherit the kingdom realm of God! But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues , patience that endures , kindness in action , a life full of virtue, faith that prevails , gentleness of heart , and strength of spirit . Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.

Keep in mind that we who belong to Jesus, the Anointed One, have already experienced crucifixion. For everything connected with our self – life was put to death on the cross and crucified with Messiah.

We must live in the Holy Spirit and follow after him. So may we never be arrogant, or look down on another, for each of us is an original. We must forsake all jealousy that diminishes the value of others.

Vision Statement

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

What do we desire?  For even Solomon advised us to follow our hearts (with a caveat that we should remember that there is a judge of our hearts).

I think what I desire most is what most people desire, and that is to live a productive life and to be an encouragement to others.

Simple enough, but it seems to be all consuming, for it seems our natural default is to live a self centered life, which seems to be a discouragement to others.

So, following a God given vision is going to require all that we have and all that we are – every ounce of courage and determination.

We were born for greatness, and the only tragedies in life seem to be the stories of those who chose the wrong star to follow.

For there is only one true north, one northern star; there is really only one way to greatness, and Jesus showed us that way.

The way up is down.  Down to earth, down to service, down to sacrifice for others.  This is where faith comes into play.

Does it really work?  Jesus was exalted to the highest place and given the name above every name, but will his way work in our little mean world?  Will it work for the average mortal?

What is the reward for those who serve and follow Jesus?

Centuries have proven that it works, and the reward is Jesus himself.  When we serve God with our hearts and lives, he becomes our friend.

Friends with God?  Really?  Does the Most High God even need friends?  And why on earth would he pick us?

Yes, God needs friends, and he has chosen us to be his friends.  He doesn’t judge like we sometimes judge – valuing a person’s wealth, influence, beauty, or youth.

He is looking for humble, contrite spirits.

Every broken hearted, repentant sinner is welcome in his house.  Every redeemed wretch is invited to dine.  Maybe that is why many proud men turn up their noses at the invitation.

It is way too egalitarian, way too fair, way too humble a crowd.  So, come to the wedding feast, all you born again wayfarers.

Your place is reserved, and your robe and crown are waiting!

He Is With You

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 ESV

Why do we worry when the Lord is with us? Why do we get so frustrated in practical issues when we know a God who is higher and above all things? Why do we feel alone in our darkest moments when all we have to do is call out to our Saviour? And why do we allow our experiences to supersede God’s promises?

I wonder if Joshua felt alone when Moses died? I wonder if he felt the pressure to continue in Moses’s footsteps? Did Joshua struggle with knowing how things would end up? Did he worry about how everyone would remain on the journey towards the blessings God had for them?

God knew the plans he had for Joshua and his people. He understood the direction they were going. The Lord wanted them to understand and trust him. In the same way, he wants us to believe that he does fulfill his promises. No matter what you might be experiencing today, don’t lose sight of God. Our Heavenly Father is with you right where you are, and he will not leave you.

Be blessed in Jesus today.

Radiant Bride

You have been hiding too long

It’s time to be the light

I have called you to be

It is time to spread your wings

Take Me by My word

and fly with Me

You know the assignment on your life

I have trained you through many hardships

To take your place

in My end-time army

There was a reason for your pain

There was purpose in your trials

I birthed My heart within you

My love now burns through you

A new day has downed

You are My radiant bride

Dressed in fine linen

I see Myself in you

You are lost to the world

Separated only unto Me

Purified through many tests

You held fast to My hand

Through many painful seasons

I was your refuge

Bringing you back to life

Back to My heart

The only place where

you have discovered perfect peace

Many enemies and challenges

Many storms and fiery furnaces

You have faced

You now know that it was so necessary

You grew into My warrior daughter

Received your training

while you were bleeding

Trying to run away from

the calling on your life

I knew you were stronger

than you think

More capable than

you would ever comprehend

You were made to war

You were made to win

You were made to walk away

with trophies and the spoils

of the enemy

You clung with all your might

to My promises

When others turned away

you never did

Passing many tests

Finding yourself in My presence

Going higher and deeper

with Me

Boldness now your trademark

My love your anchor

My presence your protection

I think back and see you

scared and wounded

A rejected son and daughter

With no strength

Ready to give in to the enemy’s voice

I wooed you in

I lured you with My love

Till you followed Me willingly

You walked through many valley’s

Finding your way

through the dark

Falling and crawling

Tired with no strength

You held on to your faith

When fear stared you in the face

You clung to Me and never let go of Our love

Here you are now

Where you never thought you would be

Ready to invade and take over

Ready to reign with Me

I am extending My scepter

for you have done well!
