Our Father’s Love

Have you ever limit the power of God? Do you ever wonder how much more he is ready to give you if only you were to ask?

Today, I was humbled and reminded of just how small I tend to make my heavenly Father. How do I live in the limitation of my gifts instead of the abundance and fullness of Christ? Where did I learn that my struggles or my sinful nature disassociate me from an ALL-KNOWING God, who loves me more than I can take in?

Jesus said, “If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as he is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking him.” Matthew 7:11 Amp

If I love my children enough to bless them when I am able, even at the cost of disappointment, how could I not believe that my Father in heaven wouldn’t love me in the same way, but with more?

I hope that we all can see the truth about our Father’s love for us. He says to ask, and we will receive, seek and we will find, He waits for us to come to Him. He loves us that much.

Father, thank you for loving me despite my sinful nature. I have the desire to follow after you, to learn from you. However, sometimes I fail to remember how close you are. Forgive me when I doubt. Bless me with a deeper understanding of who you are and teach me about the abundant life you desire for me to have in you.

Baring His Beauty,

Looking back over my life

I can see a trail of Papas faithfulness to me

I have gone through different seasons

Different times of crying and laughter

Of mourning and dancing

Of stagnating and growing

Of hate and of love

Papa has been my Faithful through it all

I have come to love Him

more than life

In the dark times

He was my Light

In the trying times

He was my Anchor

The times I wanted to give up

He would not let go of my hand

He lifted me higher

When my vision was blurred

Restoring my hope

when I was at my lowest

Through the wilderness He guided me

Away from all eyes

I discovered His immense love for me

A love that would hunt me down

Look for me in the darkest places

Even if I would try to hide

His love would find a way

to be with me

He loved me through my mistakes

my sin and my bad choices

His kindness towards me

Inspires me to live a life

that is pleasing to Him

He set me free from my fears and my pain

The reflection of my future in His loving eyes

Invited me to go deeper with Him

Past the person I once was

To the person He knew I could be

Washed and redeemed by His precious blood

Once a sinner, but now accepted

through grace

A daughter deeply loved by her Messiah

He showed me the true meaning of love

A love never based on my accomplishments

A love never based on my perfection

and hard work

My identity deeply embedded

in Him alone

Only when I had a revelation

of Papas love

My life could really begin

I can love without fear

I can trust without boundaries

I can do the impossible

With Him next to me

In our deepest weaknesses

and painful times

In our low self esteem and guilt ridden times

In our downtrodden and betrayal times

His love flows like billows into our lives

Healing our wounds and scars

Till we get a glimpse

of who He says we are

Oh how Papa loves us!

The King of the universe

Knows each of His daughters by name

There is a place in His heart

reserved for each one of us

His love completes us

His love defines us

We were the reason

He hung on a cross

The void in our hearts

is reserved for Papa alone

We are perfected daily

When we explore His love

We are precious and irreplaceable

We are one of a kind

His darling daughters

Called for such a time as this

To live His dreams for us.

The Journey

What Does The Job

There is potential in your hand that you are not even aware of.

Just like Moses in Exodus 4, Moses had a rod in his hand that he was unaware of the potential and power it carried.

Moses had to “throw it down” and obey God, in order to see what it could do.

At first he ran, frightened by it.

But once he realized the power it held and the honor that it was to know that God’s Rod is what did the job, and he got to handle it, that built his faith and courage to use it!

That is the same today with the Word Of God.

The Word is our Rod!

Nothing is more reliable in any situation than God’s Word.

Do you have a “Red Sea” that needs parting?

How about a “need” to spring forth from a rock?

Or maybe quite simply the “answer” to keeping your enemies at bay?

Whatever it is…..

Start “throwing down” and “lifting up” your Rod and see what God can do.

Remember …

it is God’s Rod That Does The Job!

Thank You, Heavenly Father for the privilege it is to carry “Your Rod” and to proclaim and release it over every situation that arises in my life and in the lives of others. Help me to have a reverential fear and awe that the power I have the privilege to carry and speak is not something to take lightly. Give me the boldness and belief that Your Word and Spirit is what started it all and it is what does the job. I just get to be the one to hold it and declare it so.

I Walk In Your Name

I don’t want to be a coward,

I don’t want to be afraid.

I want to be bold

And walk in Your name.

The cave that’s been my bed

Will no longer hold me,

For the Lord is the pillow

That holds my head.

How it came to be

Never mind now,

For the veil is torn

Beneath my brow.

The pain that dug the trench within that cave

May linger now and then,

But it’s got no hold on where I’m going

Nor where I’ve been.

The purpose, the plan

Has never changed,

And I take hold of Your armor

And bust thru these chains!

The wall comes tumbling down!

The supposed mighty fall!

And above them, I see

Your crown of glory standing tall!

I am not a coward!

I am not afraid!

I will forever be bold

And walk in Your name!

Strong Faith

We believe that our sins have been forgiven; we believe that God will take care of all of our needs; we believe that God is good; we believe that he will prevail on the earth, that he will be glorified and that his will will prevail.

Or, do we?

Or, how strong is that faith?

In the dark, when events don’t go according to plan, when God changes our course and “stirs up the nest”, what then?

Do we still trust in him, praise him, and rejoice in him? Do we wait on him before abandoning the ship? Do we trust that he will open a window whenever he closes a door?

Every day, life presents us us with multiple opportunities to exercise our faith. What will we meditate on while going to sleep at night? What will we do in the morning while preparing to meet the day? How will we spend the free time that we have each day? Whom do we befriend? How important is the kingdom of God and disciple making in our value system?

How does Our Father measure our faith? How does God grow our faith? Are we ready for the journey? Really?

Fasten your seat belts, pilgrims. The journey is long, and the road is bumpy. Our Father has predetermined that we will be made like Christ. And, “Though he was a Son, yet even Christ learned obedience by what he suffered.” “Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.”

The Theory Of Everything

Pioneering Scientist Stephen Hawking passes away at age 75.

This is on my newsfeed today.

One of his most quotable quotes.

On humanity: “We are just an advanced breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the Universe. That makes us something very special” – Interview in Der Spiegel, October 1988

He was considered. a groundbreaking scientist.

Today he meets the Creator who can answer ALL his earth shattering questions and bring him up to turbo speed on where our intelligence comes from that what makes us ALL very special and unique.

Mark 8:36

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

This my friends could possibly explain the theory of everything.

God, open the eyes of the seekers to see you, their ears to hear you, and their hearts to receive you.

Wisdom vs Fool

WORTHY THOUGHT: You can identify a fool or a wise person by the way they walk down the road.

A fool knows all about the future and tells everyone in detail. Since a fool begins with foolish premise, his conclusion is sheer madness. A fool is upset by little work that he has no strength for the simplest matter, and if you love a fool then you will live a foolish life with them.

-Proverbs 18:2-3 Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.

A wise man knows God is full of riches, wisdom and knowledge and he must reach for God for His strength to prepare for the tasks ahead. A wise man knows an ax requires strength, so he sharpens the blade because iron sharpens iron.

-Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (NIV)

A wise man’s heart leads him to do right, and a fool’s heart leads him to do evil.

-Proverbs 14:8-10 The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception. Fools mock at making amends for sin, but goodwill is found among the upright.

God wants you clear eyed so that you can evaluate all things as a wise person.
