I don’t want to be a coward,
I don’t want to be afraid.
I want to be bold
And walk in Your name.
The cave that’s been my bed
Will no longer hold me,
For the Lord is the pillow
That holds my head.
How it came to be
Never mind now,
For the veil is torn
Beneath my brow.
The pain that dug the trench within that cave
May linger now and then,
But it’s got no hold on where I’m going
Nor where I’ve been.
The purpose, the plan
Has never changed,
And I take hold of Your armor
And bust thru these chains!
Behold!
The wall comes tumbling down!
The supposed mighty fall!
And above them, I see
Your crown of glory standing tall!
I am not a coward!
I am not afraid!
I will forever be bold
And walk in Your name!
