The Strength Of Samson

Samson was called by God, and he was a mighty warrior and deliverer for Israel. He had super human strength and was undefeatable in battle. That is, until he compromised his source of strength – his dedication to God. He put his trust in the wrong place and he lost everything.

Likewise, we, as Christians, can be mighty warriors for Christ, overcoming the odds and bringing great deliverance to our world. That is, as long as we remember the source of our strength – our devotion to Christ. Our enemy is not shaken by our strength and might. Alone, we are easily overcome.

However, when we wait on the Lord and move in the power of the Holy Spirit, we are unstoppable. As it is written: “Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord.”

Let us always remember that the Lord is no respecter of persons. When we fear him, trust him, and obey him, we will do mighty exploits for him. When we compromise our faith by following after the world, we quickly lose our power and anointing.

We are to be single mindedly devoted to serving and pleasing Our Father, by yielding our lives to Christ, for him to live through us. As he taught, “I am the vine, you are the branches. If I abide in you, and you abide in me, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.” As it is written, “We can do all things through Christ, who gives us strength.”
