“O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.” ~Psalms 130:7 ESV
I can’t even describe how terrible my sense of direction is. Even recently, after living in a small town for years, I caught myself going down the wrong way on a one way street.
When I think about direction and where it has led me in my life, I can find myself reminiscing in past regret, memories of recent joy, and the expectation of what is to come.
I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten off course, over the years, but I can say – there have been many.
I’ve learned that when I travel closely with Jesus, I never get lost or find myself alone. I might take the wrong turn, from time to time, but He’s always there providing a way back to him. He is the hope in any darkness and he gives a roadmap to the exact location of his heart, plentiful in grace and forgiveness.
Jesus thank you for traveling with me, while guiding me at every step. Your direction is clear. There is no need to doubt which way to go. Thank you for providing the way of hope to live a life free in you. In your precious name, Amen.
