Shall Not Be Spent Or Empty

Elijah was a messenger of the Lord that met the widow of Zarephath. She didn’t have much and so she told Elijah that she only had enough for her and her son. Elijah doesn’t give up- he goes a step further; he asks her to trust him with the message from God. She obeys and did what Elijah asked and she gave.

Are you feeling spent and empty? Are you finding yourself saying “no” out of fear you won’t have enough?

Do you want to reap this promise of not being spent and not being empty for yourself?

It’s simple actually …… you simply

            Trust – Obey – Give

          That’s how you reap!

For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth.’” And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days. The jar of flour was not spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by Elijah.~1 Kings 17:14-16 ESV -XXOO Michelle Bollom
