Face To Face

Moses had a face to face relationship with God. It is written that he was a very humble man. Isaiah writes that God looks to the humble and contrite in heart and those that tremble at his word. There is a current emphasis on hearing God, and this is very important. It has been said that the devil is in the details, but God is also concerned with the details.

Details like: Are we being obedient by becoming acquainted with his written word? Are we being obedient by staying in fellowship with his people? Are we being obedient by learning how to walk uprightly before him, loving like he loves, thinking like he thinks, and praying like he prays?

Amos writes: Can two walk together unless they agree?

It is written: Watch your lives and doctrines carefully, for then you will save both yourselves and those that hear you.

There is much written about seeking wisdom, loving wisdom, and living wisely. It is also written: Why is there money in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom, since he has no heart for it?

That seems to be the issue – our heart.

It is up to us to open our hearts to Our Father; he cannot and will not do it for us. If we will only do this, he will open the windows of heaven and pour out his heart into our hearts.

He says, “If you had only responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you!”
