One time a few years back I was studying the subject of Joy. Joy is one of my favorite fruits of the Spirit. (See Galatians 5:22-23).
I came across a scripture in the old Testament that I didn’t notice before. It’s Zephaniah 3:17.
It says, “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty: he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy: he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
Joy means to rejoice, to be glad, to exult.
We read in the Bible many scriptures regarding us singing praises to God.
We serve an awesome God, but it amazes me to realize that He rejoices over us with singing!
Doesn’t that just bless your heart? It does mine!
God, the Creator of the universe, the One that spoke this world into existence, joys over us! With singing!! I want you to think about that; Imagine God, singing over you. Rejoicing over YOU!
It just makes me happy thinking about it.
To me this is a reminder of God’s great love that He has for us.
God is for us, He isn’t against us.
Don’t let anyone tell you different.
