There are junk heaps and garbage dumps filled with many irreparable things deemed beyond restoration; but there are no irreparable pasts or people in God’s eyes. He sets all things right. He is the Great Restorer!
He thinks you’re Flawsome.

And they shall be called The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; and you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken. ~ Isaiah 62:12 ESV
“Listen to me, all you who are serious about right living and committed to seeking God. Ponder the rock from which you were cut, the quarry from which you were dug. Yes, ponder Abraham, your father, and Sarah, who bore you. Think of it! One solitary man when I called him, but once I blessed him, he multiplied. Likewise I, God, will comfort Zion, comfort all her mounds of ruins. I’ll transform her dead ground into Eden, her moonscape into the garden of God, A place filled with exuberance and laughter, thankful voices and melodic songs. “Pay attention, my people. Listen to me, nations. Revelation flows from me. My decisions light up the world. My deliverance arrives on the run, my salvation right on time. I’ll bring justice to the peoples. Even faraway islands will look to me and take hope in my saving power. Look up at the skies, ponder the earth under your feet. The skies will fade out like smoke, the earth will wear out like work pants, and the people will die off like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my setting-things-right will never be obsolete. ~ Isaiah 51:1-6 MSG
I think we all have favorite scriptures in the Bible that we like to read. We all have a favorite version of the Bible. I would like to share a scripture out of the Amplified version.
I got so excited when I first read this verse from the Amplified version. Actually, it still excites me everytime I read it!
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]”.
Can you see why I get excited?
God has a plan for each of us. (See Jeremiah 29:11). He has a plan for us to do good works (that He planned beforehand.) He has a path for us to walk- one that He prepared ahead of time. When we are walking down that path and doing those good works, we get to live the good life that He made ready for us to live.
Everyone of us have to take time to find out from God what that plan is. We have to find out what those good works are. In addition to what the Bible says we are to do, those good works can be writing, singing, writing songs, being in Ministry, having a business, etc.. Seek God and He will show you exactly what that plan is. He will show you step by step.
He shows you the first step, so take it!
Then wait for the next step.
Don’t run out ahead of Him, it doesn’t work!
Been there, done that….another post!
When you are in the plan of God and walking the path He has for you, you’ll be able to see the fruit of it and you will see what a blessing it is Living the Good Life.
One time a few years back I was studying the subject of Joy. Joy is one of my favorite fruits of the Spirit. (See Galatians 5:22-23).
I came across a scripture in the old Testament that I didn’t notice before. It’s Zephaniah 3:17.
It says, “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty: he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy: he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
Joy means to rejoice, to be glad, to exult.
We read in the Bible many scriptures regarding us singing praises to God.
We serve an awesome God, but it amazes me to realize that He rejoices over us with singing!
Doesn’t that just bless your heart? It does mine!
God, the Creator of the universe, the One that spoke this world into existence, joys over us! With singing!! I want you to think about that; Imagine God, singing over you. Rejoicing over YOU!
It just makes me happy thinking about it.
To me this is a reminder of God’s great love that He has for us.
