I just returned from the whole Disney Theme Park trip in Orlando, Florida. I am still trying to wrap my mind around the huge amounts of people these parks draw in each day.
One would think a Thursday in February would be a smaller crowd at the Magic Kingdom. Nope, not the case at all, thousands poured in at the magic opening hour of 9 am. Since I was in line to get autographs from all the different Disney princesses my attention was drawn to watching the little girls meet and greet these beautiful Disney actors.
They were playing their part perfectly as if they just stepped out of their particular animated movie to specifically greet you. One couldn’t help but get caught up in the wonder of the fantasy of these characters. Even so much as to go and get pixie dust in our hair after meeting Tinker Belle. Yes, the mom’s needed faith, trust and a little pixie dust dropped on their heads too. It’s quite easy for me to go into pretend mode and be a princess. After all I grew up on Cinderella and believed I too would meet my Prince Charming and live happily ever after.
I was reminded this week at Disney that we are ALL created for a purpose bigger than ourselves. We have the DNA of our Creator flowing through us that causes us to look upward and beyond. Yes…..to infinity and beyond just like Buzz Lightyear. No wonder so many people are drawn to the Magic Kingdom. These are not just kids who are being mesmerized by the possibilities of flying like Peter Pan or having “Magic” power to make all your dreams come true.
We were created for so much more than we are experiencing currently on earth.
Dahhh!!
We are the sons and daughters of the King of Kings. If we decide to step into our royal calling through the blood of Jesus. We too are sprinkled with something far more powerful than fairy dust. We have the ability to be co-heirs with Christ.
This is a happily ever after story for us.
We have a choice to choose the side of good and or the side of evil.
I choose to come as a child and receive my inheritance in Christ Jesus.
The huge Tree of Life is the center of attention at The Animal Kingdom. I will admit I couldn’t keep my eyes off of it. It has all the animals slightly hidden and carved all around the trunk and branches.
It is our salvation in Jesus Christ that makes the Tree of Life come alive daily in all of us.
It’s magical not easily explained.
We are in the happiest place on earth when we rest our heads on the One who leads us through the circle of life. If we listen closely we can hear Him whisper, “You are a child of mine!”.
Have you heard the song, ‘No Longer Slaves’ by David and Melissa Helser?
