Worthy Thought:
The purpose of being crucified was by love.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I that live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
—Galatians 2:20–21”
Crucified by love
“They nailed Jesus to the cross.
“Father, forgive them,” Jesus gasped. “They don’t understand what they are doing.”
“You say you have come to rescue us!” people shouted. “But you can’t even rescue yourself!”
But they were wrong. Jesus could have rescued himself. A legion of angels would have flown to his side—if he’d called.
“If you were really the Son of God, you could just climb down off that cross!” they said.
And of course they were right. Jesus could have just climbed down. Actually, he could have just said a word and made it all stop. Like when he healed the dying little girl. Stilled the storm. And fed 5,000 people with five fish and two loaves of bread.
“You see, they didn’t understand. It wasn’t the nails that kept Jesus there.
It was love.”
~Jesus Storybook Bible
“Jesus has infinite power that He denied for the sake of love.” ~ Angie Smith / Mended
“As we walk with God in our struggles we have a choice like Jesus did; to be crucified with Christ, or climb down.” ~Angie Smith / Mended.
Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 16:24 “Whoever wants to be my follower, must deny himself and take up the cross and follow me.”
Either way, with God or without God you will still face the same struggles. By having faith and choosing Christ brings glory to God. His abounding love will guide you and help you through your struggles and defeat the enemy.
I choose to follow Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, to share the good news of the gospel with others knowing that I must carry the heavy cross, nails to my wrist, and wear the crown of thorns on my head. My love must be like Christ and I shall not perish but have eternal life with God.
Jesus said, “for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ” John 3:16
If I didn’t choose Jesus Christ in this path, my struggles will continue, even worse if I die without knowing or accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, my life will be in turmoil now through eternally.
The worst part if I perished without knowing Jesus Christ; I will never remember God’s love for me.
Jesus said if anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. John 15:6
Gods love for us was sacrificed through his son Jesus Christ on that cross. When we accept this beautiful gift, God’s Love will carry you through what you think is impossible because through it, He will strengthen you, encourage you everyday until the glorious day when He calls us home because God’s son has already Risen.
