Why is there so much anger and horror in this world around us? Why all of the darkness in human hearts as the world becomes more and more secular? Why are people turning to sin for comfort rather than to the Light of Love?
Why this?, why that?, why?, why?, why?
I don’t know the answers to these questions.
But I do know that wherever the Light is, the darkness always tries to snuff it out. Maybe all the terrible things that are happening are actually indeed a sign that the spirit of love is abroad.
I take the devil and his schemes very seriously and one thing we can count on the devil to do is to take the original good which God created and try to make something ugly out of it. Sometimes he succeeds but that does not make the original good any less good.
There are people today who play with the powers of love and seek control and easy answers.
My friends, there are no easy answers.
There is no way we can explain away every tragic event that happens. We don’t have God’s mind and we don’t see with God’s eyes.
God tells us in Isaiah 55:9 that “The heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
Our minds don’t allow us to understand His thoughts. Neither do we have a right to stand in judgement of His ways. He is God. We are not.
I have personally learned to quit asking “why” so much and instead thanking Him through my faith in Him knowing that all good comes from Him.
God is faithful to put everything right, even if we can’t see it. That’s what faith is all about. The Bible says it is impossible to please God without faith!
God is not the cause of our suffering and He gives us all the freedom to either love him or to reject him. Unfortunately some have abused His free will by rejecting God and by walking away from him.
Our suffering here on earth is nothing compared to the awesomeness He has in store for all his people. (Revelation 21:4) says God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, mourning, crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away”.
For all the suffering we face in this life here on earth our most gracious Lord has all of eternity awaiting us and that is something to look forward to. Our home is in Heaven and we are all just traveling through this world. The beauty we see with our eyes now is absolutely nothing compared to our forever home with Jesus in Heaven.
I don’t know about you my friends, but this gives me much hope in the now and also in the forever of eternity with the one and only, My Heavenly Father (Jesus).
Have a blessed day my friends.
