Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
I am stuck on that phrase…Drawn To Redemption
Redemption-the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil.
Wow! That is something to be drawn to alright!
This is an older song but it has such powerful lyrics.
lyrics:
He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
And oh, how He loves us, oh,
Oh, how He loves us,
How He loves us all
He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
And oh, how He loves us, oh,
Oh, how He loves us,
How He loves us all
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves.
And we are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If his grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
And Heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about the way…
He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us,
Oh, how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh, how He loves us…
Oh, how He loves us…
Oh, how He loves us
I love the lyrics of this song!
My favorite part is:
And we are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If his grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
And Heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about the way…He loves us
This song was written by John Mark McMillan and has been done by David Crowder, Kari Jobe & my favorite is this great version by Kim Walker Smith.
May we all be drawn to redemption.
Enjoy! XXOO Michelle Bollom
That’s my favorite version, too! I heard Kim sing it in person the first time I heard it and the first time I’d ever seen and heard of her! It was some event at Lakewood…can’t even remember what it was, but I remember falling in love with her anointing and that song!!💕
Yes! One of my all time faves too!
