Why in the world would anyone sign up and actually pay money to stand in a booth and pass out literature, free items and a prayer at a Exxxotica porn convention for three days?
Why would someone help move an evicted tennant from their house? (this someone is involved in the porn industry)
Why would anyone ever consider visiting strip clubs with an established ministry to build relationships with women who may need support, encouragement?
Maybe it is to……
earn personal bonus points from Christianservice.com (if that existed)
receive a free t-shirt (I got three)
check off “Good Christian Duty” box
feel good about oneself that they are above “that stuff”……
What does the Word of God say?
That’s what I am most interested in knowing. I need to see what God’s Word says about visiting these places with MOTIVES of pure love for His children.
After all God created everyone so that makes us ALL His kids.
Some of us have just not received the 411 news flash. They have not heard the Good News or decided for what ever reason they are not ready to move into their “gifted” inheritance.
Some of us may be asked to go to these places one day to remind others that salvation and sonship are options that are available for the choosing and the picking.
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Some may be wondering why go into these obvious dark places where one will be exposed to things that would make your eyeballs pop out and fall to the ground in a million pieces.
God knows our hearts and our real motives.
Honestly, I would say not everyone is called to such places. I would not recommend it to anyone who is not completely prepared or driven by a deep desire to see people how God sees them. He has a plan for each and every person uniquely tailored for them. I went with a team of seven students and Jonathan Welton from Welton Academy. We were there to assist Anny Donewald with Eve’s Angels at her booth.
Our team was there to remind others that they have a purpose and God loves them right where they are. Yes, even in that porn convention as a spectator or in the industry as seller or producer.
We choose for ourselves. God does not recommend or choose the porn industry for anyone. Let’s make that clear. After all He did create sex and He would know what brings us joy, satisfaction and contentment in that area of our life.
He allows us to make a choice. We live with the consequences whether they are good or bad.
He does love us ALL!!
After all we are all sinners with the option of being saved by grace.
He is really quite the gentleman.
(a whole different meaning to Gentleman’s Club…..)
Back to what God’s Word says….
John 1:5
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Luke 1:79
“To give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
Mark 16:15
And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.
While ministering with Eves Angels in Dallas at the Exxxotica Porn Convention our team met and prayed with many people.
Some who possibly would have never set foot in a church or some who had just came from a church service that morning. Remember we were in Dallas, a city of many great churches.
We didn’t bring the church to the convention. Our purpose was to team up with Anny at Eve’s Angels and turn up the Good News Lights. We brought His love. It never fails. Jesus was already there. He is God so that makes Him everywhere.
Our team came from all different states to represent Jesus those three days in that booth. We became the hands and feet of Jesus.
Our hands grabbed their hands to pray. Our arms hugged them and patted their backs as we met. Our mouths declared the plans God has for them. Our feet chased after them to hand them information on Eve’s Angels and ask if they needed prayer or a free t-shirt. Some actually really did need a shirt that day. 😜
Our eyes saw through the facade of the sexual appetite being displayed everywhere. We saw and met young ladies and men who are beautiful and hungry for acceptance and love that actually satisfies their soul.
I met people I will never forget and will carry in my heart. I am continuing to pray and believe for the very best in their lives.
For me personally…
I got my own 411 news flash those three days in Dallas. God gave me a teeny peek into His heart and stretched my heart at least a hundred times bigger and wider.

P.S.
I walked by and tried to ignore the angry people outside with the picket signs saying, “You Deserve to Be Raped” and “Go To Hell”.
I’m not sure what Jesus they were serving up and handing out those three days at the convention center.
Tax dollars were being used to pay for special officers to come and protect the peace outside the doors.
I did meet three other ministries along with their volunteers. They were inside representing Jesus in the convention along with us.
