John 14:27 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
We all say that we want peace, but we still allow so much chaos to enter our lives. How many times have we watched so much drama and foolishness on television and then began to mirror what we had just watched on television? Or how many times have we listened to our girlfriends stories about their lives and we instantly take on an attitude into our own family life? Life throws us all a curve ball daily, but that’s why God’s Word is in place to protect us and to keep us in perfect peace.
Here are examples of what we may experience on a day to day basis in our families:
1) Kids not listening or not doing chores as they have been asked
2) Running late for work or for school
3)Just don’t feel your best today
4)Can’t find the right clothes to wear
5)Who used the last of the milk or in our house it’s who left the milk out
All of these things can make a day start out a little crazy but PEACE is what God has promised us throughout the Bible. So trust God and his word and He will give you PEACE.
Philippians 4:7 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Promise of PEACE (poem)
I will let God’s peace infuse every part of today. As the chaos swirls and life’s demands pull at me on all sides, I will breathe in God’s peace that surpasses all understanding. He has promised that He would set within me a peace too deeply planted to be affected by unexpected or exhausting demands. God has not promised sun without rain, joy with sorrow, peace without pain. But God has promised strength for the day, rest for the labor, light for the way, grace for the trials help from above, unfailing sympathy, undying love. ~By Annie Johnson Flint
Women WIth Gifts hosts a conference call prayer every Monday at 6am cst|7am est. Our Monday Devotions are from the topics of our conference call prayer. Our Purpose in hosting this prayer was to reach people that are not only in need of prayer but are also in need of knowing Jesus. For the people that feel that they don’t need prayer we are praying to take our Mondays back, since Mondays are supposed to be the worst day of the week.
