When you put yourself down or go on and on about all your flaws and shortcomings you are criticizing God’s Masterpiece. You are fearfully and wonderfully made! He is well pleased. He sees your potential and your beauty.
It is time that you start seeing it too!
13-16 “Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.” -Psalm 139:13-16 MSG
Heavenly Father, forgive me for criticizing your masterpiece. Forgive me for comparing myself with others and complaining about all the areas that I feel I’m coming up short in. Help me to understand that I am wonderfully and marvelously created by You. Help me to recognize myself the way You see me. Let me be able to see my strengths and beauty instead of focusing on my faults and flaws. Help me to make changes where I need to make changes so I can be all that you created me to be. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
